Oh Father, we thank You for all You have done this year to take care of the people who love and serve You and for taking those who love You home to be with You as well. We ask You will bless this study and keep us close to You each day. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 5:16-18 16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” 18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. Fact 1: For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. Meaning 1: They added to God's Word with their own rules, then wanted to kill Jesus. Jesus knew that the Sabbath was a day of rest, but a healing was not a wrong thing and taking up the bed was not going to put the man in Gods bad. They just did not want Him to ruin their works. Question 1: Do I ever do what God wants me to do even when it does not seem to be the popular thing to do? Do I stand out for Jesus? Fact 2: But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now and I have been working." Meaning 2: Jesus sought to make them understand that God who is His Father works in peoples lives no matter what day it was. Question 2: Do I stand and work for the Lord each day? Do I do what I am able to do for Him? Fact 3: There fore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. Meaning 3: The Jews hated that Jesus was claiming to be the Son of God and being equal with them. They did not want Him to come and be over them and change the way they lorded over all the people. Question 3: Do I bristle at the work that Jesus wants to do with me or have me do for Him? Do I follow and allow Him to work? Take Away!! It does not matter what day it is, we can do the work of the Lord on any day and trust to have His love and work in us too. I need to spend more time doing God's will and less time worrying. Father thank You for the reminder that we are your children and You are working for us and in our lives everyday. You do not take a day off of watching over us. We are Your children in Your life. In Jesus Name, Amen!!

Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” 15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. Fact 1: The Jews therefore said to him who was cured. He got up and took his bed and left. Question 3: Do I obey when I hear Jesus speak to me about something in my life? Do I get up and do that immediately? Fact 3: Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk?" Meaning 3: The Jews wanted to know who was breaking their laws. They were upset that someone was going against them. Question 3: Do I stand up and say that I am following God and what He says in His Word? Meaning 4: Jesus had not shared with this man who He was, the man only knew that he had healed him and made him whole. Question 4: Do I realize that God is at work in my life? That prayer is my prayer, I will do what is asked of me immediately. Father, I thank You for all You do for us, for all the healing and protection from the things that happen in our lives. You are blessing us with love and safety daily even when we have no idea what You are doing for us. please help us to be appreciative to You and hold onto You each day. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen!!
Father, We praise You and ask Your blessings on our lives. We want to stand for You in this time and be Your workers down here sharing the gospel. Help us to live a life that is pleasing to You. In Jesus Name, Amen! John 5:7-9 7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. Fact 1: The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Meaning 1: The man did not have help to get to the pool each time it was stirred up, so he could not get healed by way of the angel and the pool. Question 1: Do I get bogged down with things in my life that keep me from walking towards Him and healing in my life? Fact 2: Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." Meaning 2: Jesus told Him what to do knowing that it was the Sabbath. That was not important as those rules the Jewish leaders had added onto what God said. Question 2: Does Jesus still small voice tell me things I need to do? Fact 3: And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked, And that day was the Sabbath. Meaning 3: The man had faith because he was healed, he also obeyed Jesus knowing it was the Sabbath. Question 3: Do I obey even no matter what God asks? Take Away!! I need to open up to His still small voice and obey Him as well, He knows what is good for me and what He tells me is the thing to do. I need to live that. Father, thank You for reminding us that we need to obey You even when it seems hard or strange. We know You are in control and only want what is best for us. In Your Name, Amen!
Dear Lord, I come praising Your name today. Thanking You for all that You do for us and all that You have done. We ask that we will receive the words that You want us to know and learn a lesson for life today. In Jesus Name, Amen! John 5:1-6 1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” Fact 1: After this there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Meaning 1: Jesus was a Jew and their feasts were an important thing in the culture of that day, so it is normal for Him to go. Question 1: Do I keep things of Jesus important, like going to church? Is is really that important to me? Fact 2: Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool which is called in Hebrew. Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed waiting for the moving of the water. Meaning 2: There were all these helpless people waiting for the moving of the water. How could some of them make it to the water? Question 2: Do I wait for healing from the Lord? Do I look for His healing now days? Fact 3: For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Meaning 3: An angel moved the waters to heal. That first person would be healed, and the rest had to wait more. What about those who needed help getting to the pool? Question 3: Are we helpless to get healing from God now? Do we need someone to show us the way to a healing in our hearts? Fact 4: Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well? Meaning 4: Jesus knew that he wanted to be healed, but he had no one with him to help him down into the pool so he was stuck waiting for nothing. Question 4: Do we not take the healing of our heart, soul, and body because we have no one to help us? Jesus is always there for us too. Take Away!! I need to focus on the things that God has given and pray for those things we need. God is working our lives out and we just need to stay close to Him and accept the things He does in our lives. Father, thank You for coming down after us and loving us the same. You are the God of blessings and we can know that our lives are in the palm of You hand safe and secure. If we truly want healing in Your will we need to ask and believe. In Jesus Name, Amen
Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that You be with us this day and thank you and praise You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son to die for us and give eternal life. We ask that You will watch over us each day and keep us safe. Thank You and bless You In Jesus Name, Amen!! We start in today talking about the Ephesians 6:10-11, most of us know this verse if we have ever attended church on the spiritual weapons for fighting the battle.
Truth is the standard that God sets for us. He is unchanging and lives in total truth, we need to use the Bible for a guide and line up our lives with the things taught in the Word. Righteousness is our correct living and walking in God's way. We put into practice the truth of God in our lives and we have right living in him. We can honor God and please Him with our lives. Peace is the relationship with God. When we live in truth and work to have righteousness in our daily walk we have peace in that relationship with Him. We are more apt to live the way that we are supposed to when we add peace to our armor. Faith is what we are getting out of the Bible as we study its pages, we put it to work in our lives and we have the faith to carry us through. When you add Faith to your peace, you know that God is incontrol and that you do not have to worry you have His faith in your life. Salvation is two fold, we have our salvation of our soul when we come to know that we are His and have joined His family and in His care daily. We have eternal security. Salvation also means that we can live victoriously in our lives when we are in Him, we have salvation from the things that attack us through Him. The Word of God, Our Bible, new and refreshing every day. When we get our hearts right and start studying the Bible it is a true blessing for our entire life. And it is His living Word that each time you read a passage you are struck with something new and different. You can gather with friends and each of you get a new perspective within your life. Then you have a weapon that puts all these together in your life and that is prayer, we activate God's Holy power in prayer. Paul says to pray in the Spirit at all times. We need to get into the Word and to pray. When we are in spiritual warfare, there are armors to use against him, but the one that gets everything on and ready is prayer. We need to learn to pray in fervent, specific, strategic and personal ways in the spirit. We do not have to have a loud voice, or commanding style, we can simply pray from our heart and soul even quietly, we just need to be praying in Jesus Holy name. Until next week: Our Call to Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank You for another year of life to serve You, this has been a trying year, but we have seen You work in lives and that is a blessing. This coming year we want to be a part of the movement to bring others to You. Thank You for Your love, In Your Name, Amen! Psalm 105:11-15 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,” 12 When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people, 14 He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, 15 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” Fact 1: Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, As the allotment of your inheritance." Meaning 1: God took care of His chosen people and gave them the land that they are supposed to be in now. Question 1: Do I ever focus on what God is giving us? The inheritance that we get being sons and daughters of God? Fact 2: When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another. From one kingdom to another people, He permitted no one to do them wrong. Meaning 2: God was watching over His people no matter how many or how few were left, He did not allow anyone to destroy all of the Israelites. He protected His faithful. Question 2: Do I understand that God is working on my life each day and bringing me closer to Him? Fact 3: Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying "Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm." Meaning 3: He never allowed anyone to wipe out the Israelites, but they sure got put in captivity a lot for not paying attention to what they were supposed to be doing. They were their own worst enemy. Question 3: Do I focus on what God wants me to know in the Word? Do I listen to the love He has for His people and know that means me as well? Take Away!! We need to watch what Israel went through and instead of following their steps of unfaithfulness, we need to be faithful in following Him no matter where He leads us. Jesus, we want to thank You for Your love and care for us and the fact that You are watching over us as much as Your 'people', we are Your children too and we praise the name that is above all names. Jesus. In Your Name, Amen!
We hope and pray that You have a blessed day and I am sure come next week the girls will have all kinds of things to share with you for their holidays. It will be exciting to have everyone here and spending time together for the holiday. And we might have snow this year. The way it was going we sure are not positive for that. But a good Christmas snowball fight is always a lot of fun.
Luke 2:1-20 1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.
2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
As a candy maker, this man prayed to find a way that he could offer local children a Christmas gift that would allow him to communicate the real story of Christmas. His prayer led to an idea |
Although no one is quite sure if the legend of the candy cane is really true, the beauty of the legend is such a reminder of God’s love for us around Christmas. In this legend, it was a way that the candy maker could tell the children the story of Christmas and still today, we have candy canes as a reminder of the real reason we celebrate Christmas. |
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household. 54 This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.
Meaning 1: The father wanted to know exactly when his sons fever left him and he was healed from the sickness.
Question 1: Do I realize how exact that God is working in my life?
Fact 2: So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives."
Meaning 2: The father knew that his son was healed at the moment that Jesus had said, "Your son lives."
Question 2: Do I pay attention to when my prayers are answered? Do I look to Him to answer the specific prayers I ask?
Fact 3: And he himself believed, and his whole household. This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.
Meaning 3: Jesus had done another miracle healing the boy. The whole household who heard believed.
Question 3: Do I believe God will answer my prayers without needing a sign to help me believe?
I need to bring the things that matter to me up to the Lord so that I can know His power and might in all areas of my life. I want to believe without having to be shown. To have my prayers answered because I came to Him and asked.

I am Haniniya and I am from Bethlehem, Judea, Israel and I love the Lord and walk in His Word. I want to share His Word with You each day.
