Father, we ask that You keep us close to You and that we will be the people that You desire us to be. In Jesus Name, Amen1! Ephesians 5:28-30 28 So husband's ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. Fact 1: So, husband's ought to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who loves his wife loves himself. Meaning 1: We are to love others as we love ourselves, we try to protect our lives and our nature is to live. Husbands are to love their wives the way they love to do for themselves. Question 1: Do I know anyone that loves like that? Fact 2: For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. Meaning 2: We are loving ourselves more than we might realize, it is to gain attention to hurt ones self. We are in need to love as Christ loved and be real. Question 2: Do I love myself enough to hold onto God who we know loves us with all their hearts? Fact 3: For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. Meaning 3: We are made from the breath of God, He created everything about us and will give to us what we need to survive. We can hold on and know our best is at heart. Question 3: Do I work to love as Christ loves? Take Away!! I need to be in the word, finding out how God does love us so that I can love like that as well. Father, please give us a good day today and help us learn more about You and Your ways. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Ephesians 5:25-27 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish Fact 1: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, Meaning 1: Again, we talk about the fact that Husbands are to be forgiving, loving and ready to die for his wife. Also giving himself, his time, and his love. Being open and loving. Question 1: Does God see men doing to their wives these things? Are there men out there that do that? Fact 2: that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, Meaning 2: Husbands are to help us get and remain close to the Lord, he is not to lord over us but to be as Christ. helping others to be more like Christ Himself. Question 2: Are women relying on their husbands to help them get closer to the Lord? Fact 3: not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Meaning 3: We are to be holy and without blemish it says, but humans are not capable to be that at all. We need the salvation and blood of Jesus, covering us so that we appear to be holy and without blemish. Only the blood of Jesus. Question 3: Are we sharing salvation in Jesus with those around us? Do we strive to bring more people to salvation? Take Away!! I need to make sure as the day is approaching to witness and share Christ with others. Father, I ask today that You speak to us and give us Your word for our day. That You are with us always, In Jesus Name, Amen!! Ephesians 5:22-24 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Fact 1: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Meaning 1: Wives are to submit to their husbands as to the Lord. The one that is to protect wives and be what Jesus is to us. Question 1: Do I share this with others? Fact 2: For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church: and He is the Savior of the body. Meaning 2: Jesus loves us enough to forgive our sins and die for us. When a husband is the head of his family he is to be like Christ. Forgive, love and die for his wife. Question 2: Do most men think of that when they hear they are the head of the wife? Fact 3: Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Meaning 3: We are to be centered on Christ and live for Him. So, as wives they need to look to the husband and his decision. He is the one that is over the wife. Question 3: Do wives know they need to be in submission to their husbands and allow Him to make decisions? Take Away!! I am not married and could not be a wife. Father, thank You for telling us how we are to be as wives, thank You that I am still single. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, please be with us and give us Your word. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Ephesians 5:17-21 17 Therefore do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. Fact 1: Therefore, do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is. Meaning 1: Those who try to live on their own after salvation get unwise. You need to study the Bible and find the will of God for you. We need to weigh all that we do against what the Bible says. Question 1: Do I make sure what I do lines up with the Bible? Is my life standing for God and showing as much as I am sharing? Fact 2: And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, Meaning 2: We need to only be filled with the Spirit. He is not saying no wine, but no excess of anything above God. We should be fulfilled with His Spirit and allow Him to control my life not alcohol or anything else. Question 2: Am I putting God first in my life? Do I try to fill my life with the things that bring me closer to Him? What can I do to make sure that I am filled with Him and doing His will? Fact 3: speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Meaning 3: We are supposed to keep our minds on the things of the Lord. music is a big part of life in most people's heart even when they do not want to admit it. Spending time learning the psalms and hymns and basking in the wonders of the Lord. Our focus on Jesus is the whole thing. Question 3: Do I focus on the Lord? Is my heart dedicated to His will and sharing that with others too? What more do I need to do to stand in Him and share with others? Fact 4: giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God. Meaning 4: All things that are brought into our lives by God we need to be thankful for. If we are doing things that get us in trouble, we still need to thank Him for working in our lives to change us. We need to submit when others point out the things that God desires for our lives. Question 4: Do I give thanks enough Lord? Am I a thankful person no matter what is going on? What can I do to be the person that God wants me to be? Take Away!! I need to make sure that my life is showing God's will to others, we need to be filled with the Lord. Father, thank You for the message about knowing You and living in Your will for our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, we come to You today and hold onto Your love and direction. Please give us a word today that will help us this week to succeed in You. In Jesus Name Amen!! Ephesians 5:14-16 14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Fact 1: Therefore, He says, "Awake you who sleep, Arise, from the dead, And Christ will give you light." Meaning 1: We are asleep in our lives of an evil nature before salvation. We do not do the things we should be doing. Christ will give us light, and we can see the difference He makes in our lives and gives us a light to follow and live through. Questions 1: Do I follow and be awake for Him in my life? What can I do to stand and follow Him the way that I desire? How can I be a light that shines bright in the world for Christ's sake? Fact 2: See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise. redeeming the time because the days are evil. Meaning 2: We not only need to be that light in the world, we also need to be wise in our walk and what rightly in these days of evil. There must be a difference in our lives for Christ. Questions 2: Am I living with a difference in my life that people can see? What do I need to do to stand in that difference and share Christ with others? Take Away!! I need to spend more time with talking to others and reaching them for Christ rather than just talking. Father, thank You for a really good study again. This has been a favorite so far. Keep us reaching others and being a light in the darkness. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
