Father, thank You for another day and another time to study your word. It makes great days to start out with Your word and the things that You want to teach us. Give us a good study today and we will walk with You in that word today. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 17:1-5 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. Fact 1: Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You. as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. Meaning 1: Jesus was finished with the work He had on earth and now it was time to die and rise again. He wants the strength to go to the cross and glorify God and then raise and glorify them both in the eyes of the other. Question 1: Do I work at glorifying God? What does my life look like? Do I take time to do the things that glorify God when I walk in His steps of life? Fact 2: And this is eternal life, that they may know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth, I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. Meaning 2: Jesus wanted to do what He had to do not only to glorify God but to give us eternal life. God gave people to Jesus and He wants to glorify to them Himself so that they will take up the cross and follow Him. We are given to Jesus by God. Like we are chosen for salvation by God. Question 2: Do I share with everyone that I know so that those chosen by God will be saved? Am I living my life in a way that they will be able to see Jesus through me and want what I have? Take Away!! I need to work at glorifying God and bringing as many to Jesus as I can. Father, thank You for a great message of what we need to do. We need to also glorify God in our daily lives and live a life that others see God in and want to change. In Jesus Name, Amen!!

Father, thank You for another day and another chance to celebrate Your word and love for everyone. You are not a prejudice God, but a loving God. A God of righteous and acceptance for Your children. I ask today that others realize that they can come to You from any circumstances and You will love them and give them good life. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 16:29-33 29 His disciples said to Him, “See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech! 30 Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Fact 1: His disciples said to Him, "See, now You are speaking plainly and using no figure of speech! Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God." Meaning 1: The disciples thought that Jesus was sharing with a plain speech, but they still did not know what He was talking about and would not understand until Jesus had died and rose again to see them. They thought the knew what He was talking about. Question 1: Do I sometimes get ahead of Jesus and think I know what will happen? Do I forget to really listen to what He is sharing with me from His word and love? Am I one that steps ahead or waits on the Lord? Fact 2: Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe? Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. Meaning 2: Everyone is going to desert Jesus when He goes to the cross. They will think at a point that He is gone now and what were they following Him for. But soon He would rise and they would remember all the things that He told them would happen. They will believe with more strength after He rises again. Question 2: Am I waiting to believe? Do I think that His rapture is going happen? Am I ready for that time when the rapture will come and Jesus will take us home? Fact 3: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer., I have overcome the world." Meaning 3: With Jesus death and resurrections done, He has overcome the world and set it up for us to know this and live a life accordingly. We can be of good cheer even when things seem down because we know that He is coming to get us one day and we will go home with Him. Question 3: Do I stand in the belief that He will be home with us soon. Well, we will be with Him home in heaven? Am I sharing with others just how fast this rapture can happen when God is ready to take us home? What is my true belief about God and His love? Take Away!! I must be aware that He could come at any moment and we have to be ready and sharing with everyone we can reach to stand in Him. To be patient in His timing and know that when the time is right we shall go home. Father, thank You for a great study and blessing to my heart. Help me to share with all my loved ones and make sure that 'everyone' has the opportunity to know or at least hear from me. Bring us closer to You and give us the understanding that we need to follow You. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, thank You for another day and another week, please help it to cool down and be more livable. Give us a good study and bless each one that comes to learn. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 16:25-28 25 “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. 28 I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.” Fact 1: "These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. Meaning 1: The disciples and we as Christians could not understand what Jesus was teaching about Him and the Father as easily as we do now with the Holy Spirit to make things clear in our hearts. When we accept Jesus as our savior He sends the Holy Spirit to help us. Now He can tell us plainly and we can believe what He tells us. Question 1: What do I do to share with others the love of Jesus and the desire He has to bring His children to Him? Do I share with those around me or do I keep quiet? How can I start sharing more? Fact 2: In that day you will ask in My name; and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Me; Meaning 2: When we love and accept Jesus as savior, the Father can then look at us and see His Son's blood covering the sin that we have done and He sees us and loves us. Before salvation He sees sin in us and cannot look upon us. Question 2: Do I tell people that they have to be saved? That there is a future with God and a time for doing what is right now is at hand? Do I share with them that they need to come to Jesus? Fact 3: and have believed that I came forth from God. I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father. Meaning 3: Jesus was leaving us to go to the Father, but He promised to come back one day and save His people. We look for that glorious appearing coming in the clouds to take us home. Question 3: Do I remember to let people know that they have a short time and He will come for us? Do we know how short of a time it will be? Are we truly waiting on Him to come in our lifetime or years away? Take Away!! I need to spend more time working at learning the Word and knowing the signs that He is coming then sharing that with those who need to be saved. Father, thank You for a great reminder that the time is near. You left the world to go to the Father, but You will come again, and we are praying that You come soon and take us away to our home in Heaven. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
The Tribulation: |
Hello friends, it is a Thursday again, life keeps passing us by. We are enjoying the summer and getting some things going around here. We love the freedom of the summer and no school. We still spend our mornings. in study, it is a great place to start your morning. We have done a lot with the dog agility course this summer already. Too fun!! |
21 A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. 23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Meaning 1: The labor pains that a woman goes through has a joyful ending and a wonderful life to live. The pain that we are going through on earth now will turn into the joy we cannot even imagine when we get to heaven. All the things of earth will be strangely dim. We will be home in joy and happiness.
Question 1: Do I think about the joy and amazement of the future in Heaven? Am I sharing that with people who need God to go to this heaven? What do I do to further the gospel?
Fact 2: Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
Meaning 2: When He comes again and we go to live with Him in Heaven, we will have joy that will blind all else from our minds. We will be truly filled with a joy that we cannot even imagine.
Question 2: Do I have any idea what our future with God will be? Am I sharing with others the strength of God now and the amazing joy we will have at home in heaven?
Fact 3: "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
Meaning 3: When Jesus comes for us and takes us to heaven we can ask anything and He will do it in Jesus name. I have never thought of that together, but that sounds like what it is saying. When I ask for my dogs?
Question 3: Is that what this means? When we get home to heaven whatever we ask will happen? I already ask for the dogs in my life to be on the new earth, will they be there for sure?
Fact 4: Until now you have asked nothing in My name Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full.
Meaning 4: Our joy full does not mean that we are happy. There is a huge difference between joy and happiness. Our joy can be full even in the worst circumstances. Joy comes from God and the peace that He gives us.
Question 4: Do I live with the strength of Joy in my life from God? Can I share that joy even during the rough times in our lives?
I need to remember that the things that I want in life will probably not be important in Heaven. We will be with the Lord and rejoicing in Him and praising His name. and the things of earth will dim.
16 “A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father.” 17 Then some of His disciples said among themselves, “What is this that He says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’; and, ‘because I go to the Father’?” 18 They said therefore, “What is this that He says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what He is saying.” 19 Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, “Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’? 20 Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Meaning 1: Jesus was talking about His death and the resurrection that would take place soon. He was going to the Father and then would come back to the earth so that He could finish His work and prove that He was alive.
Question 1: Am I trying to share that with people? Do I know that He is coming again and will love us and take us away with Himself?
Fact 2: Then some of His disciples said among themselves, "What is this that He says to us, 'A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me'; and 'because I go to the Father?" They said therefore; "What is this that He says, 'A little while'? We do not know what He is saying."
Meaning 2: The poor disciples were confused again, they were so confused until Jesus left and the Holy Spirit came to them. I wonder if Jesus ever got frustrated with them, even knowing they were just human. They were humans and thought as such as they did not have God's Spirit in them yet.
Question 2: Do I take advantage of the Holy Spirit being in me? Do I use Him to further the gospel and share more with others?
Fact 3: Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, "Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, 'A little while and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me'?
Meaning 3: Jesus knew what they were thinking and discussing among themselves and He tried to talk to them so that they would know what was coming and that He would be with them again. I do not think they had gotten it until Jesus came back.
Question 3: Do I realize how important it is that Jesus knows all of our thoughts and intense of our heart and mind? Do I allow Him to explain things and try to understand better since I have the Holy Spirit to help me believe?
Fact 4: Most assuredly I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice, and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Meaning 4: He said that they would weep and lament, He knew what they were going to do when He was crucified, but reminded them that He would be back and they would see joy like never before. He was returning.
Question 4: Do I know that He arose and then left in body and will come back one day? Am I proclaiming this and sharing with all we can share with?
I need to proclaim that Jesus is returning and that people need to be saved to go home with Him. I need to make people aware that He is here and with us and will one day take us home.
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Meaning 1: The disciples alone could not handle all the things that Jesus wanted to tell them. They had to wait until the Holy Spirit was upon them before they could take in all the things that they needed to know to teach.
Question 1: Do I listen to the Holy Spirit in me? Am I living out the things that the Holy Spirit teaches me? What do I do to share with others what He is doing in my life?
Fact 2: However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come. He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Meaning 2: The Holy Spirit was a big help to the disciples and to us. They did not have the Bible to read and study to learn about Jesus and the things that we should do in our lives when we have Him in our lives. They really needed the Holy Spirit to teach and speak through them.
Question 2: Do I utilize the Holy Spirit in my life and the help that He gives to me day to day? Am I living my life so that I hear the Holy Spirit talking to me about the things I should do?
Fact 3: He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Meaning 3: The Holy Spirit was a good teacher of the things that Jesus wanted us to know. He brought back things that Jesus had said and done with the disciples so that they could write the gospels and about Jesus and what we need to learn from Him. The disciples are blessed to have Jesus with them, but He had to go and the Holy Spirit was an amazing one to take His place and He could be in all at all times where Jesus as a man could only be in one place. Now we have a Spirit that is in us.
Question 3: Do I listen to the Spirit in me so that I do the things that He desires for me and blesses me with the strength and desire to be His child? What am I doing to share the things that He teaches me each day?
I want to spend more time sharing God's word with those around me and bless them with the scriptures that bless me daily. I want to share the God who loves us all no matter who we are.
Happy Monday, it is so good to be out of school for the summer. I love school but it is good to have a break too. We are delving into chapter 16 some more it is a great chapter too. This week is going to be a long one as we have yard work to do and then after that is finished we are going to start taking a few little trips around and have some fun. |
5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
Meaning 1: The disciples were saddened by Jesus departing and going away. They did not know where He was going but He had already told them that He was going to the Father and that where He was going they could not come then. But He would come back for them one day.
Question 1: Do I know that Jesus is going to come back one day? Am I ready for Him to come back and take us away with Him?
Fact 2: Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Meaning 2: Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit that was coming to live in us and teach and grow us closer to Jesus. We are blessed to have Him in our lives and in the world. It is going to be a sad day when He then leaves with us and does not hold the evil back anymore.
Question 2: Do I appreciate in this day and age that the Holy Spirit is holding back evil in life? What would it be like without Him? Do I share this with people that I talk to?
Fact 3: And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement;
Meaning 3: The Holy Spirit is where our 'conscience' comes from. He is the one that tells us when we should not be doing things and when we should. We are blessed to have His direction and need to have more willing hearts to follow what we know is right.
Question 3: Do I listen to what the Holy Spirit tells me and follow the lead that He gives me in life? Am I standing in Christ and walking in the footsteps of Him to do what the Holy Spirit shows me to do?
Fact 4: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
Meaning 4: People did not have a conscience about sin when Jesus was on the earth. It did not come until the Holy Spirit, so it was not so easy to believe what Jesus was saying and do it.
Question 4: Do I have a good conscience? Do I listen to the Holy Spirit and do as I know is right? What more do I need to learn and feel to obey totally?
Fact 5: of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more
Meaning 5: The Holy Spirit would also teach and remind us to walk in righteousness like Jesus did. Since Jesus was going to be gone then they needed help to do the right thing. We today have that same help to do what is right so we can live a righteous life for Jesus.
Question 5: Do I walk in righteousness in my life? Do I stay away from evil and every thing that looks evil to others? Will I always hang onto Him and know what I should do?
Fact 6: of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
Meaning 6: The Holy Spirit also seeks to show us what will be judged too. We follow His leading and conscience so that we do not have to be judged like the world and ruler of the world will be. One day he will be judged and all with him will know the wrath of God like never before.
Question 6: Do I know what is coming for those who do not know Jesus? Am I witnessing and sharing with them so they are not left to the judgements of this life?
I need to make sure that others around me know what work the Holy Spirit is doing on earth and live a life pleasing to Him who leads and guides us on.
The Rapture!!
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 3:3; 1 Peter 1:3-7; Titus 2:11-13
In Heaven After the Rapture!
Then depending on what we did on earth we will get placed in different authority for the Millennium. It will depend on our faithfulness to God while on earth and the influence that we left while are taken from earth.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
The Second Coming!!
The next step after the second coming is the Judgement of all those that were not raptured and taken home to heaven. Those of us who are taken will stand before the judgement seat when we get to heaven and Christ will cover our payment for His and we will get rewards for the things that we did that was right.
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Well, what a start to the new Chapter, it is great to be getting close to the end of John. Just a few more chapters and we will be done. I hope you all will stay to the end and do the next one too. We sure are having a blast doing these studies and all the things that we are learning and not just reading have been amazing. I love this way to study. Simple and yet effective. |
These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. 3 And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4 But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. “And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
Meaning 1: He told us what we need to do so that we would not stumble. We needed the strength, to stand and to be the person that God wants us to be. Watch therefore and do not stumble.
Question 1: Am I watching my walk with the Lord so that I do not stumble? Do I keep my footsteps in the path of Jesus so that I have a sure way to go?
Fact 2: They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
Meaning 2: The time is coming again that people will kill Christians and think that they are doing God a favor. It is coming for the US and is strong in many countries now. The persecution is coming again.
Question 2: Will I stand for the Lord when persecution comes to me? Will I be able to withstand it and not cave to others? Can I stand in the face of persecution?
Fact 3: And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.
Meaning 3: Those who will hurt us and persecute us have never known the Father or Jesus. They will not have God in their midst like we do. He will be with His people so that we can stand those who do not know God.
Question 3: Do I know enough not to blame those who persecute me, but continue to share Christ with them while they persecute me? Can I be strong enough to know that they do not know God?
Fact 4: But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. "And these things I did not say to you at the beginning because I was with you.
Meaning 4: Jesus was leaving them humanly to die then go to heaven, He was no longer going to be there with them. They were going to be treated like evil even though they were going to be preaching God's word. Just like it is coming for us as well.
Question 4: Do I stand for God in the way needed to share Him with others in my life? Will I be able to stand and share as our country falls down?
I need to strengthen myself and be ready to give account to what God is doing and to be safe in His arms while this world is falling apart.
