Meaning 4: We know that even though they do not have a holy temple on earth anymore that God still reigns from heaven in His throne. He is still there and still working on our lives. Question 4: Do I look up to heaven and know that God is sitting there in His throne watching over me? When will He come to get us? 5 The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. Meaning 5: God will give us tests to see if we are holding onto Him. He loves us and wants us to be strong enough to stand on His word. Those who turn against Him and do evil things God will not protect. Question 5: Do I stand as the righteous? Am I strong enough to stand in this day and age? Take Away!!
We need to stand for God and follow His ways so that we know one day we can go before Him and into heaven.

The wicked bend their bow, They make ready their arrow on the string, That they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? 1 In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? Meaning 1: We need to trust the Lord to do what is needed to watch over us and allow ourselves to be as free as a bird. They fly around and enjoy their days. Question 1: Can we as humans in this day and age truly be free and just allow life to go on? 2 For look! Meaning 2: Those around us that hate the goodness are ready to take out the positive part of those who are happy and at peace. They want their hate to reign. Question 2: Do I allow others to make me afraid to live the life that God has for me? 3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? Meaning 3: Our foundations are allowed to go to ruin for the way that the founders of the country have them set up. We are no longer a sovereign nation and one that stands on God's principals. Question 3: Do I allow others that are not standing in the Lord to change my ways of thinking? Take Away!!
I need to be sure that I am living my life for God no matter what is going on and that I will take a stand for Christ at every turn. ~ Psalm 10:16-18 ~16 The Lord is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land. 17 Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, 18 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more. 16 The Lord is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land. Meaning 16: We have the opportunity to have the Lord as King in our hearts and lives when we give ourselves to Him and follow Him daily. He will get us through all things when we lean on Him. Those who do not follow the Lord will perish out of the land that is His which is everything. Question 16: Do I stand in His word and do His work in life to bring others to Him so they will not perish? 17 Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, Meaning 17: When we humble ourselves and cry out to God, He will take care of us. He will prepare our hearts to do His will and He will hear us when we call out. Question 17: Do I call out to Him and do I humble myself to Him? 18 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more. Meaning 18: God will take care of us with no father, and not allow us to be oppressed in life when we turn and follow Him. We just need to reach out and follow Him. Question 18: Do I follow God and do the things that He desires of me? Do I give Him my heart and soul? Take Away!!
I need to humbly come before God and call out His name. ~ Psalm 10:14-15 ~14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. 15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none. 14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand. Meaning 14: God knows who is being the trouble and those in grief and He alone will repay those who have hurt others with His mighty hand. God might seem to let them get away with evil, but He will repay them one day. Question 14: Do I try to repay others for the hurt they cause or do I allow God to do a better job for me? The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. Meaning 14b: Sometimes the only way to get ourselves to commit to Him who is our help is to hit a low point in our lives. When we seem to have no one left in our world, we will always have a Father who loves us from above. Question 14b: Do I commit myself daily and live in Him as my one and only way to joy? 15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none. Meaning 15: Here is David wanting to direct God into what to do with those who are doing evil against them. He wants God to seek out those who are bad and get rid of them. Question 15: Do I ask God to get rid of those who are evil in my life? Do I ask for things to be done to them when I am tired of the drama and pain? Take Away!!
I need to just focus on God and His love towards me and those who are doing His will in life. ~ Psalm 10:12-13 ~12 Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. 13 Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.” 12 Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Meaning 12: God lifts His hands up and commands things, and we need to be humble. I always wonder if David wrote this because of Moses lifting his arms up and God allowing Israel to have the victory. David wanted God to take point and the victory won. Question 12: Do we look to the Lord to raise His arms and take care of our weakness. 13 Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.” Meaning 13: Why do people reject God? Because of the limitations that God gives them which are to just to protect us like a parent who loves there children. They all believe that they will not have to pay the punishment that God will desire from the wicked. Question 13: Do I want to be one that has punishment from God? Am I finding Him as my true savior? I need to remember to ask forgiveness for those things that I do and then stay away from them. ~ Psalm 10:10-11 ~10 So he crouches, he lies low, That the helpless may fall by his strength. 11 He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.” 10 So he crouches, he lies low, That the helpless may fall by his strength. Meaning 10: The evil still have strength to damage those who are down and low. They are so easy to push down further and they love to use thier evil strength to push the innocent down further. Question 10: Do I work at building people up in my life? Do I put God into my relationships? 11 He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.” Meaning 11: The evil think that God has forgotten the evil he does and hides His face, but one day they will pay for the pain and evilness that they caused and spread over the earth. Question 11: Do I think that I can stand without God and fight? Do I lean on God and do what I can to counter the evil in others lives? Take Away!!
I need to stand in God's will and do all I can to show others that the wicked are wrong and I know the God who loves them. ~ Psalm 10:8-9 ~8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. 9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. 8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. Meaning 8: Evil people are out to get those who are good. They do not like to see others happy and innocent. They like to hurt those who are helpless. Question 8: Do we who are not wicked, make an effort to help and encourage them as fast as the wicked hurts them? 9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. Meaning 9: Those who are evil just wait to hurt those who are poor and destitute. We need to help them to stand up to the evil ones. Question 9: Do I help those oppressed by others? Do I stand in Jesus way? Take Away!!
We need to stand up to the evil and fix the damage they have cause to the innocent. Get God out to those who do not know Him. ~ Psalm 10:5-7 ~5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. 6 He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.” 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. 5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. Meaning 5: The wicked looks like he is prospering, because the devil takes care of those living in his walk. And the wicked just sneers at those he is hurting. Question 5: Do I do wicked? Is my heart deceitful above all else? Jeremiah 17:9 "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it? Do I work to keep my heart in the hands of God and not be evil? 6 He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.” Meaning 6: The wicked love to stand in their evilness and do bad things to others. Question 6: Do I stand in the love of God and show others kindness and joy? 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. Meaning 7: The evil will curse and lie and oppress others in their wickedness. Those people allow their tongues to make evil words and put down others each time. Question 7: Do I make sure that I am not spewing evil or wicked words to hurt others or my God? “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? Take Away!!
We need to make sure that our words and actions mimic God and the good things that He desires us to live with and in. ~ Psalm 10:3-4 ~3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. 3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. Meaning 3: Those who love to do wicked things, have awful lives and renounce the Lord. That is the one unforgivable thing, choosing to not find God real in your life. You have to love God and accept Him to go to heaven. Question 3: Do I make sure that those I love at least have the opportunities to find God real in their lives? 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. Meaning 4: The wicked just do not find God, they are proud and think that they can do it all on their own and do not think about what God will do for them, when they accept Him. Question 4: Is my life showing others the good that God can do in our lives? Take Away!!
I need to be a living witness to the power and love of God for all of us. ~ Psalm 10:1-2 ~1 Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble? 2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. 1 Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble? Meaning 1: Sometimes it feels like God is not there when we are going through rough times, but He is there and He is carrying us through those times. Like the footprints in the sand poem. Question 1: Do I realize that God is holding me so that I do not go through difficult times alone? 2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. Meaning 2: We all often have enemies that we want to get taken in by the very thing that they are trying to plot against us. Question 2: Do I persecute the poor? As the poor, do I get persecuted and do i lean on God? Take Away!!
We need to focus on the fact that God is there for us and in us and around us. We need to lean on Him and the strength that He gives us to stand. |
