Who is the antichrist? In Revelation it says that the antichrist will be a well spoken and charismatic leader that will bring people to himself with his great speaking ability. And he will speak blasphemies about the most High God. Revelation 13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. He is going to capture the admiration of our world because of his words and be able to bring armies together and countries that were never friends. Daniel 7:20b namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. He will have a magnetic personality and will bring people to him in great number. In the speaking of his eyes that is talking about his mental ability and intellect, he will be cleaver and uncommonly wise. He is represented by a beast, which is a good title for him. He is going to give satan a person to be in the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation, he will have power, signs and lying wonders. Who Will Worship the Antichrist? Revelation 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Daniel 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time. It seems like he is going to try to make himself to be at God's level and declare himself God to the people. He will speak in a way that will deceive those who do not know salvation. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. The antichrist will accept the worship of all the people. He is going to want to be the one above all else when he comes to power. He will deceive the people and make them walk away from God. What Will the Antichrist do to the Christians Who are on Earth During the Tribulation? People will come to know Jesus while on the earth during this time. It will be a time of great torture and wearing down of those with the faith. They will be murdered and hunted down to be killed so that they do not continue to reach those who have not yet chosen the antichrist.

Father, I ask that You will bless this time that we are studying Your word and learning more of what happened and is going to happen in our lives when we study Your word. We want to be closer to You and holding onto You all the time. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 19:8-12 8 Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, 9 and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” 11 Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” 12 From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.” Fact 1: Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, and went again into the Praetorium and asked Jesus, "Where are You from?" But Jesus gave him no answer. Meaning 1: Pilate did not want to put Jesus to death, He kept trying to find a way to let Him go and did not see any fault in Him. Question 1: Do I realize that there is no fault in Jesus and do I try to follow in His footsteps? What do I need to do to walk in the life of Jesus now? Fact 2: Then Pilate said to Him, "Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You and power to release You?" Meaning 2: Pilate thought he was in control of Jesus life, but no one could have done anything to Jesus if He did not approve. He had to die to save us and He allowed Himself to get to this point. Question 2: Do I allow God to control my life? What more can I do to allow God to have the control of my life He desires? Fact 3: Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin." Meaning 3: Jesus told Pilate that he had no power other than what was given to Him by God the Father. Pilate was doing what God had planned and he was not the one with the great sin. Question 3: Do I live in a life that is what God has planned? Am I trying to do the things I know are right? Fact 4: From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying, "If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar." Meaning 4: The Jews pulled out all the stops on Pilate. He wanted to free Jesus, but the Jews then turned and told him that he was betraying Caesar who ruled the land at that time. Question 4: Do I forget who is in charge in my life? Do I allow God to be in charge and do all to please Him? Take Away!! I need to make sure that God is my center in His ways. That I will follow and do as He asks of me each day and stand for Him in all things. Help me give myself to thee. Father, thank You for a blessing today and a good study. We sure are enjoying the time with You and a blessing each day for a life lived. Give us a safe trip to Union tomorrow. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, we want to praise You for all You do for us, for each day that we are safe and well. I ask that You will watch over us and give us some strong love for You and Your people. I ask that You would give us a good study and bless us. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 19:5-7 5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!” 6 Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.” 7 The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.” Fact 1 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them. "Behold the Man!" Meaning 1: Pilate was trying to get them to choose not to kill Jesus, He wanted them to see the beating and choose to allow Him to live with the beating only. Question 1: Do I share with others the things that Jesus went through to die for me? Do I stand with Him not against Him? Fact 2: Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him!" Meaning 2: The Jews did not want Him to be let go and wanted Him crucified and they had no idea that this was God's plan. Question 2: Do I ever turn away when God wants to use me? Am I like Jesus and go through the bad when it is for Him? Fact 3: Pilate said to them, "You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him." Meaning 3: Pilate did not want to kill an innocent man for no crime committed against the Romans. God had already ordained that Jesus would die on the cross so this was His way. Question 3: Do I try to get out of doing God's will because it seems hard? Do I even realize that it is God's will? Fact 4: The Jews answered him. "We have a law and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God." Meaning 4: But He took power from the Jews over the people so they wanted Him dead. Question 4: Do I ever not want Jesus in the things I am doing? What things in my life do I try to shut Jesus out of? Take Away!! I need to align my thinking and actions with God's will and live my life in a way that shares Him with all I meet and do. It is important that we stand for the Lord in our lives and be a blessing to the things God is doing in the world. Father, thank You for a wonderful study and the thought that God uses many ways to get His work finished. It is Your will that all come to Christ, but sometimes we have to hit the hard times to do it. Help us all to share with others so they can learn about Your love that is above all else. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, Thank You for another day to study and another chapter in the book of John, this could be some hard times here when we ponder the things that Jesus went through for us in this chapter. Sometimes it is hard to realize what pain and suffering He did just for us. Help us feel the truth in our blood. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 19:1-4 So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. 3 Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands. 4 Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.” Question 1: Do I Think of what it took for Him to have this beating for me? Is the torture that Jesus went through for me enough that I will stand for Him when the time comes? Question 2: Can I imagine the pain of having those long thorns thrust into my head? Can I tell how bad a head injury feels and think of wearing a crown of thorns?
Fact 4: Pilate then went out again and said to them, "Behold I am bringing Him out to you that you may know that I find no fault in Him" Meaning 4: Jesus suffered all of this when He had done nothing wrong in His life and no one found any fault in Him. It was done to save You and I from hell. Question 4: Do I share with people the depths of the love that Jesus has for each of us? Does it make me sick inside to know what He went through and then blessed above all for what He went through for me? Take Away!! I need to make people aware that He died for them a cruel and sad death on the cross after being beaten so that we might be saved. He loves everyone on earth. Past, present, and future. Father, this was a hard lesson and I wanted to show what it would have been like for Jesus and what we should remember when we partake of the communion and live our lives. We need to remember and focus on what He did. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, we praise You for another day on earth to learn more about You. We ask that our minds would focus in on You and what we are learning so that we can have a good lesson and find You more real in our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 18:39-40 39 “But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 40 Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber. Fact 1: "But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews? Meaning 1: The Jews got one person allowed to go free during Passover and they could choose whomever they wanted. Pilate was sure that they would want Jesus as he found no fault in Him. Question 1: When I have a choice do I choose Jesus way? Do I live my life so that others do not find fault in my life? Fact 2: Then they all cried again, saying, "Not this Man, but Barabbas!" Now Barabbas was a robber. Meaning 2: The Jews yelled and all said they wanted Barabbas. It was what was supposed to happen, but it still must have hurt Jesus to know they would choose another. Question 2: Do I choose to walk in Jesus everyday? Am I choosing to follow Him even when it is not a popular way? Take Away!! I need to work to choose Jesus and His ways when I work at being His. I want others to see in me the reflection of His love. Father, please help me to walk in You and live my life in a way that others see You and hold onto You in all things. I am so happy to know You and love You in our daily .lives. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Who are the two witnesses that will preach the gospel during the tribulation? Dr. Jeremiah believes Elijah is one of the witnesses to come back to earth to preach during the tribulation. Since Elijah did not die but was taken in a whirlwind of fire and he also did the same miracle in 1 Kings 17 as one of the witnesses in Revelation 11:6. The miracle was to shut the heaves and allow no rain on the earth. In Malachi we are told that Elijah will come before Christs return. Also Elijah appeared with Moses for the transfiguration. He believes the second witness to be Moses, as Moses and Elijah were often paired up and the last half of the miracles Moses had done while the first were Elijah. Moses did die, but there is no record of where he was buried. God could preserve his body so He can bring him back. There is no way to know for sure who they really are until the witnesses arrive and we find out. But those of us saved will not have to be here to see that. When will these witnesses appear? Revelation 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” It is not known when for sure they will show up. This is another great debate, but Dr. Jeremiah believes that they will be towards the beginning of the tribulation during the time the Antichrist makes a covenant with the Jewish people. What will happen to the witnesses? They will be killed by the beast about three and a half years in when the beast comes from the bottomless pit. The two witnesses will be rejoiced over when they die, the world hates them. It says that they will lay on the ground for 3 1/2 days and people will give gifts to each other and party because they are dead. In the Biblical time of the Jews it was an abomination to leave a dead body out that long. Revelation 11:12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. After they started decomposing they will stand up and the whole world will be watching and see them stand through the news. And while the world focuses on them they will be resurrected and raptured from the earth. Revelation 11:5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. That is the information we have about the witnesses, they will preach and no one can kill them even though they try and when they are trying the witnesses will kill people with fire from their mouth .. they will be a force to be retconned with for their time on earth.
Father, thank You that You have given us another day to worship You. It is a blessing to know that You are close and we are doing good spending time with You. Give us a good study with lots of thoughts. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 18:33 33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” 35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. Fact 1: Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Meaning 1: Pilate wanted to know what relationship Jesus had to the Jewish people who had said that is what Jesus claimed. Question 1: Do I believe that Jesus was the king of the Jews? Do I worship Him as my king? Fact 2: Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” Meaning 2: Jesus wanted to see if Pilate believed the Jews or was just repeating what they had called Him. Question 2: Do I believe all the things Jesus says? Am I living my life as though I believe Him? Fact 3: Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” Meaning 3: Pilate must have thought this was a big farce, he could not understand what Jesus did for His own people to turn against Him and want Him dead. Question 3: Am I ever like the Jews? Do I fight against things that I should be embracing in my life? What things do I need to live to embrace Jesus in my life? Fact 4: Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” Meaning 4: Jesus was telling Him that right now His kingdom was not on earth, but it is in heaven waiting until after the tribulation to come to earth. Jesus said it was not here. Question 4: Am I waiting for that kingdom to appear? Do I live a life that gives others a glimpse to live with Jesus in charge and coming back to us soon? Fact 5: Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Meaning 5: Pilate asked again about Jesus being king. Jesus in their terms told him that He was king that was said rightly, and that He was come to this world to share the truth. When we live in truth and believe Jesus was are saved. Then we are of His kingdom. Question 5: Do I live my life in a way that allows others to see a difference that Jesus makes in my life? Can people tell that I am living my life in the truth? Fact 6: Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. Meaning 6: Pilate was not going to allow the Jews at this time to have him kill someone for no good reason. He found no fault and nothing worth killing Jesus over. Question 6: Do I believe that there was no fault in Jesus? That He was perfect and sinless so that He could take our sins on the cross so we did not have to? Take Away!! I need to walk the walk of Jesus and stand for Him in all things. People should be able to tell the difference in my life for Jesus being King. I should live and speak out enough that they know why I am different in life. Father, thank You for a great study and reminder that we need to walk in truth and life and allow people to see that we are different and amazing in Jesus. Help us to live like we believe Jesus is King. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, thank You that we can get together and study Your word on this earth still. I ask that You would protect us going forward and holding onto You. You love everyone and care about all people on earth and giving us time to study Your word. I thank You that You are our God. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 18:28-32 28 Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover. 29 Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?” 30 They answered and said to him, “If He were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.” 31 Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” 32 that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die. Fact 1: Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover. Meaning 1: The Jews could not even go in and put up their case for killing Jesus without being defiled. Question 1: Do I worry about what I am doing making me unclean for living for the Lord? Do I need to make changes in my life so that I am not defiling myself? Fact 2: Pilate then went out to them and said, "What accusation do you bring against this Man?" They answered and said to him, "If He were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you." Meaning 2: They did not even have anything to bring up on Jesus. All they could do is tell them that He was an evildoer. The Jewish leaders had no evil to even make up. Question 2: Do I live a life so clean that they would not have anything evil to say about me? What difference does that make in my life when I think about the sins I commit? Fact 3: Then Pilate said to them, "You take Him and judge Him according to your law." Therefore the Jews said to him, "It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death." Meaning 3: Pilate did not want to deal with the Jews and their dumb request. He was not thinking of putting Him to death and then they did not have a reason to put Him to death. Question 3: Do we do things against God without a reason? Are our sins as dumb as the Jewish leaders? Fact 4: that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die. Meaning 4: Jesus had said that He would die and how, it was all fulfilling prophecy and the Jews did not know the word well enough to even know what they were doing. Question 4: Do I just blunder along and do things that are pointless? Do I know prophecy enough to recognize the things coming and know that Jesus is near? Take Away!! I need to keep in the word and know the signs for Jesus coming back so that I am ready and can take as many people as I can to heaven with us. I need to witness to them more. Father, thank You for a good study reminding us of how stupid the Jewish leaders were to get Jesus killed when that is exactly what needed to happen so that we all could be saved. You have given us an easy out to the problems of this world. Salvation!! In Jesus Name, Amen!
Father, help us to have a good study and learn what You would have for us today. I am blessed to know You and ready to learn more about who You are and what that means to me. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 18:25-26 25 Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not!” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” 27 Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed. Fact 1: Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him, "You are not also one of His disciples, are you?" He denied it and said, "I am not!" Meaning 1: Peter just wanted to see what happened with Jesus and so he was standing around waiting. He did not even think about what Jesus had said about denying Him. He just did not want to get caught up in all the stuff going on right then. He was saving himself rather than standing up with Jesus. Question 1: Would I try to save myself? Would I have the strength to stand for Jesus in the face of the trouble that is coming? How soon will we have to choose that path in the US? Matthew 10:33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Fact 2: One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off said, "Did I not see you in the garden with Him?" Meaning 2: The men standing around remembered Peter and what he had done to the man in the garden. Peter was not wanting to be caught up in this whole mess. Question 2: Do I have the strength to stand in the way of Jesus and not deny Him for anything? What way am I strengthening myself so that I am prepared to take what comes for those of us who love our God? Fact 3: Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed. Meaning 3: I would think the bottom would have fallen out of Peters resolve when that rooster crowed and he remembered Jesus prediction about him denying Him three times before the rooster crows. He had denied Jesus. Question 3: Do I deny Jesus? Do my actions say that I have denied Him and walked away? Am I ready to stand and not allow myself to take the easy way out? Take Away!! I need to be ready to take any consequences that are coming for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. I need to stand strong and that takes work and planning to get to the point where nothing else matters. Father, please help me to be doing what I need to stand strong when things come against me. I want to be more like Jesus. Help me to be there and not deny Him when I have the opportunity to be a strong Christian and stand. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, thank You for another day and a great time to spend with You. I thank You for cooling off the weather for a while again and keeping us from the heat. Watch over us while we do this study and teach us what You would have us learn today. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 18:19-24 19 The high priest then asked Jesus about His disciples and His doctrine. 20 Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing. 21 Why do you ask Me? Ask those who have heard Me what I said to them. Indeed they know what I said.” 22 And when He had said these things, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, “Do You answer the high priest like that?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?” 24 Then Annas sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high priest. Fact 1: The high priest then asked Jesus about His disciples and His doctrine. Meaning 1: They were questioning Jesus to see if He was being a false prophet and what they might charge Him with. Question 1: Do I ever question God when I should be listening to Him and growing in Him? Fact 2: Jesus answered him, "I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing. Meaning 2: Jesus ministry was not taught in secret, He spoke in the open and did not hide what He was teaching. Anyone that wanted to know the doctrine that Jesus taught need only to have listened. Question 2: Do I listen to what Jesus is teaching? Am I standing and hearing Him each day in His word? Fact 3: Why do you ask Me? Ask those who have heard Me what I said to them. Indeed they know what I said." Meaning 3: Jesus knew they were trying to catch Him saying something that was blasphemy and He knew He had only spoken the truth and they could ask anyone. Question 3: Do I listen to Jesus and tell others so that they know what Jesus taught and the future we have in Him? Fact 4: And when He had said these things, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand saying, "Do You answer the high priest like that?" Meaning 4: People react with anger when Jesus speaks because they do not want to hear His message. Jesus is higher than the High Priest and yet people saw Him as nothing. Question 4: Do I listen to what Jesus has to say with a open mind and a pure heart or in anger at the things He says? What can I do to share that with other people? Fact 5: Jesus answered him, "If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?" Meaning 5: Jesus had not spoken evil as He was just telling them to ask others to bear witness to what He had been saying to the people. The Jews could bear witness to the High Priest. Question 5: Do I bear witness of what Jesus teaches? Am I one who lives my life with purpose in the Lord? Fact 6: Then Annas sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high priest. Meaning 6: He wanted no part in the conviction of Jesus and sent Him from his presence to the High Priest. It was his job before, but now Caiaphas was High Priest. Question 6: Do I send away some of Jesus teaching because I do not want to live it? Am I putting into practice all that Jesus taught and doing as He tells me? Take Away!! I need to live my life for the Lord and things that He taught us while on earth and after through His disciples and Words. Father, thank You for a good lesson. We are blessed to be able to study and spend time with You each day. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
