Father, I ask that You will be with us today and help us to put into practice the things that we have been learning over the weekend and week. We love You and are blessed to know that You love all of us, no matter who we are. Give us a good lesson, In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 14:19-21 19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Fact 1: "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Meaning 1: Jesus was letting them know some more about Him leaving earth but He would be coming back. He was not going to leave and be gone, but He is in us and with us. And when we know Jesus as savior He will see us in heaven when life on earth is done. Question 1: Do I share Him with people so that they will one day see Him again or for us the first time? Am I living to show that Jesus is in me now? Fact 2: He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me, and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Meaning 2: When we love Jesus with our lives and hearts others will be able to tell that about us. They will see the difference that we have in our lives and want to know what is making us different. We are the Jesus that people see. Question 2: Do I live in a way that shows Jesus to others around me? Do I stand out in a crowd as someone that others see as different and sharing Jesus always? Take Away!! I need to live my life to show people Jesus and the love that He gives through me. I need to take His commandments and live them each day so others see Him through me. Father, thank You for a good reminder of how we need to live to show that we are in You and You are in us. We need to be different and stand out for You. In Jesus Name, Amen!!

Monday ~ Thursday!!We are going to keep studying John during the first part of the week. The book of John has been a great source of inspiration for us and we are learning so much more about it by doing this study than we ever did while we were just reading. So simple a study can be so powerful a tool. We have so enjoyed this book. I hope you can keep up with us and finish off the book with us. Then we will be moving to another one. Friday!!On Fridays, Nana is going to go through the book 'Answers to the Unsolved Mysteries of Prophecy' by David Jeremiah. We will touch on the things he teaches and then at the end of that series we will choose something else, but that should carry us a while just doing Fridays!! Saturday ~ Sunday!!We will be off of Saturdays and Sundays through the summer. Then we might add them back this winter or not. We have more time to study and share during the winter when we are not out as much. We will be happy to come back and share with you again.
Father, I thank You for giving us this time that we had to learn and grow and have good words from the book of Psalm. Give us a great last study and bless our summers and time to get out and do things. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Psalm 26:9-12 9 Do not gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men, 10 In whose hands is a sinister scheme, And whose right hand is full of bribes. 11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; Redeem me and be merciful to me. 12 My foot stands in an even place; In the congregations I will bless the Lord. Fact 1: Do not gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, in whose sinister scheme, and whose right hand is full of bribes. Meaning 1: We do not want to act in such a way that we are seen as a sinner that is bloodthirsty or scheming or bribing. We need to make sure that our lives do not look like those people. Question 1: Do I stand up and look differently that the world? Am I a person who does not get involved in even what looks bad? Fact 2: But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me. Meaning 2: We need to walk in integrity and be under God's reign so that He is merciful and alive in us. We want to be different than the world and stand out for Jesus. Question 2: Am I walking in integrity? Do I stand for what God says is right and live a life others can see a difference in? Fact 3: My foot stands in as even place; in the congregations I will bless the Lord. Meaning 3: When we are walking in the Lord we have a good place to put our feet on the rock of God's Word and life. We can be a blessing to God by living for God. Question 3: Do I live my life in a way that pleases God and blesses Him to see me walk in Him? Take Away!! I need to make sure that I walk the way of the Lord and stand on the rock as I live my life with Him. Father, thank You for a good study and a time to remember that we are supposed to walk in a way that is pleasing to You and a way that will bless Your heart to see. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, we are excited to start this study today and learn more about Jesus and things that are going on in the scriptures. I ask that You would prepare our hearts and make us ready to hear from You. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 14:15-18 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. Fact 1: "If you love Me, keep My commandments. Meaning 1: We show God that we love Him by keeping His commandments it is how we show God that we love Him. Question 1: Do I do the commandments to prove that I love God? Do I live in a way that shows God that I am trying to be His child? Fact 2: And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper; that He may abide with you forever - Meaning 2: When Jesus was going to leave the disciples and others on earth He prayed for God the Father to send the Holy Spirit to be the comforter and helper for all of us when Jesus left. We live and understand the Word through the Holy Spirit who is here with us. Question 2: Do I know that the Holy Spirit will help me to understand the scriptures and truths in the Bible? Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to lead me in my life? Fact 3: the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Meaning 3: We as the chosen can know the Holy Spirit while people without God does not know Him. We need to allow Him to work in our lives and stand in us to do what is right. Question 3: Am I ready to live my life in the Spirit of truth? Do I stand and know the Holy Spirit is with me? Fact 4: I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. Meaning 4: God does not leave His children alone on earth, He sent the Holy Spirit to be in us and with us so we are never alone. Question 4: Do I live in the spirit of the Spirit and do the things that I am supposed to do as a child of God? Do I always remember that I AM a child of God? Take Away!! I am needing to trust the Holy Spirit in my life. I need to be more inline with living in the Spirit so that I am a better witness to those around me and not afraid to speak up. Father, thank You for a good study and I ask that You will keep us close to You. Help us to know more about having the Holy Spirit in our lives and standing in His words. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, thank You for another sunny day that is beautiful out there and for the time we can be out in it both working in the yard and garden to just be outside. We ask that You will help us to get what You desire for us out of our study and bless the time we spend. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 14:12-14 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Fact 1: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. Meaning 1: Jesus was talking about the disciples that were going to be going out and doing His work after He left to go to the Father. He was trying to prepare them for when He was gone and they were going to have the opportunity to share and witness to all. Question 1: Do I do as much as I can to witness to others? Am I taking my ministries seriously and doing the best job I can? Fact 2: And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Meaning 2: Twice He reminds us that when we ask anything in His name, that is His work He will answer. It does not mean it is a list that you can order from God, but in His name is His will and what He knows is best. We need to be diligent in our asking and not let up on what we want. Question 2: Do I spend enough time asking things in Jesus name and will that will be answered? Am I strong enough in my faith to see things I ask answered? Take Away!! I need to spend more time in prayer for the things on my heart that I want God to answer. Keep knocking at His door until He answers me with a yes, no or wait. Father, thank You for listening to us and always answering us when we pray. It might not be the answer that we want, but You answer what is best for us and those we pray for. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, Thank You for another day with You and I ask that You would come quickly and take us home. We are ready to be in Your house. You are a great God and we are blessed with Your love. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 14:7-11 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Fact 1: "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also, and from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." Meaning 1: We see God through Jesus because He is God and man all at the same time. The Father is who Jesus is in their special ability to be three in one. Something we do not understand down here, but will know when we get to heaven. Question 1: Do I know that I know the Father by what is in the Word to read? Am I ready to be in heaven to see them all in time? Do I share that with others? Fact 2: Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Meaning 2: Philip was thinking physically again, His disciples really got confused when Jesus was talking spiritual things. It was not until they got the Holy Spirit in them later that they understood what Jesus had been really teaching them. Question 2: Do I understand more now than I did before salvation? Am I stronger now than I thought I would ever be? Fact 3: Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father? Meaning 3: Jesus was rebuking Philip a little for not realizing that He has been telling them that He is God too. That they know the Father through Him and He is the way, truth and life as well. Question 3: Do I remember that the things in the Bible are written for the Spirit to show us the meaning and what we need to know? That it is in the Spirit that things are so important? Fact 4: Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Meaning 4; Again Jesus tries in other ways to get all of us to think and remember what He has said. That they are one and yet separate, but when you see Jesus you see the Father as well. Question 4: Do I listen and work at understanding the things that Jesus says in the Word? Do I follow what I know is true and believe that Jesus is God and Himself in one? Fact 5: Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Meaning 5: Jesus must have been getting a little frustrated with them for not hearing and believing, but He was usually so patient with all people that He taught. Question 5: Does God get frustrated with me when I am just not getting it? Do I try and pray that I will understand what He is trying to tell me in His Word and study? Take Away!! I need to work to believe and accept what Jesus is trying to get through to me when I am studying the Bible and making time for Him. I need to put forth effort to learn from His Words and believe that He is God and will come for us one day. Father, thank You for a great study and a reminder that we are all having trouble getting it sometimes even those who walked with Jesus and learned from Jesus had trouble understanding what He was teaching. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, please touch us as we study this scripture and help us to learn many good things. God You are so good to be there with us while we are learning about You and Jesus more. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 14:1-6 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.” 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Fact 1: "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. Meaning 1: When we believe in Jesus we are believing in God as well, because they are one, and yet Themselves. In a way that only God can understand. We take it as Faith until we get to heaven. Question 1: Do I know that I believe in a God, Jesus and Holy Spirit that are three in one? Am I one that can give my troubles to the Lord and stand in His way? Fact 2: In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I got to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you in Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Meaning 2: Jesus is promising to make a place in heaven for those of us who ask Him into our hearts. When we pray that prayer and accept Jesus then He will make a home for us in heaven. Then the best part is that He comes back to take us to live in heaven as well. We do not know 'when' but we know it is getting closer every day. Question 2: Do I strive to help others know that the time is coming nearer and Jesus is going to be coming back one day? Am I witnessing and sharing as much as I can? Or can I do more? Fact 3: And where I go you know, and the way you know." Meaning 3: The disciples knew the way to get to heaven which was through accepting Jesus as savior and believing in Him. Question 3: Do I tell people how to accept Jesus? Am I working that all may hear? Fact 4: Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Meaning 4: Thomas was thinking physical again and not spiritually. He thought Jesus was taking a trip, but Jesus was talking about going to heaven. Question 4: Do I want people to understand and know the way to heaven through Jesus? Do I share with everyone? Fact 5: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Meaning 5: Jesus was reminding Thomas again that He was the way, He was the truth and life. They would go to heaven through Jesus and what He was about to do. Question 5: Am I sharing and telling the people it is through Jesus, through His way? Do those around me know how to get to heaven and that Jesus is the way? Take Away!! I need to get on my chat program and tell others about You and the way to get to heaven when they are ready for that. Father, thank You for all the things that You have reminded us that we need to focus on and take at Your word. We know where we are going when we know You as savior. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, we are so excited, today is another day of rain, and our area really needs that rain and water for plants and life. We pray today that You will give us a good study and we will have a great time in the Word together. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 13:36-38 36 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.” 37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.” 38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times. Fact 1: Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?" Meaning 1: Peter was always asking questions, he wanted to be in the know about all things. He wanted to be with Jesus and stay close all the time as he loved Jesus and His Word. Question 1: Do I want to follow Jesus where He goes? Do I want all of my life to be with Him and walking in His way? Does my life show the Lord is in control? Fact 2: Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward." Meaning 2: Jesus was talking about spiritual and earthly following now. Peter could not die with Jesus, and could not go to heaven right then, but one day when he had done his work then he would follow. Question 2: Do I try to follow Jesus example on earth so I am ready to walk into heaven when I die? Am I walking like Jesus enough for people to notice a difference in who I am for Him? Fact 3: Peter said to Him, "Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake." Meaning 3: Peter thought he would lay down his life for Jesus. He thought that he was prepared to do that and stand with Jesus and follow Him no matter where He went. Question 3: Do I follow Jesus or do I have fears that keep me from walking the way that He leads? Am I keeping His Word in my heart and sharing it? Fact 4: Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times. Meaning 4: Jesus knew that Peter would have the opportunity to follow Him in what He was going to do. Yet, He also knew that Peter would deny Him so that he would not be taken into custody and beaten and crucified. Peter had the opportunity to follow. Question 4: Are there times in my life that I do not stand up for Jesus when I should? Do I do my best to stand and face those who are treating God in a bad light or do I falter? Would I deny Jesus if I was given the opportunity? Could I stand in the face of death or losing all and still shine for Jesus and stand? Take Away!! I need to get my heart into the fray and know that no matter what they were saying and doing that I could stand in Jesus and either be tortured or killed or lose all. But stand for Jesus. Father, that was a rough lesson. Would we have denied You as well just to find out what was going on? Peter did not even realize he was doing it until the rooster crowed and he remembered. Help us to stand for You so that You will stand for us. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Call to Prayer!!Today we want to start putting together prayer strategies that are filled with peace. Peace of mind for us and those we love. That peace together that only God can give us. Peace that passes all understanding.
so that we have Your peace and thankful hearts toward one another. We need to strive to hold onto You and Your love. You are a blessing to us and we need to be thankful and share that with others. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
things that we can pray through the peace we have. God You bless us when we are working to help one another. Give us a desire to help and be strong in You. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
stand in Your Word and with others in prayer so we are bathed in Your peace and power. I ask that You would watch over us and bless us when we strive to be Yours. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
deeds all the time that those around us can see and strive for. We need to show Jesus in all things that we do and bless Him in our actions, words and life. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
where You want us to be so that we can get into the Lord again. I ask that as the days are closing we would find our place in You and share it with others in the community. Bring us all together in our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, thank You for another Saturday to choose a few verses and see what You speak to us through them. We are so pleased to spend time with You. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Psalm 26:5-8 5 I have hated the assembly of evildoers, And will not sit with the wicked. I will wash my hands in innocence; So I will go about Your altar, O Lord, 7 That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works. 8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells. Fact 1: I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash my hands in innocence; Meaning 1: We need to not be seen in the presence of evildoers when they are doing things they should not. We cannot be part of their evil. If we do not shine for Christ, then we are no better than the sinner in the way. Choose to befriend and witness to them, but do not get talked into their evil. Question 1: Do I stand for what I believe in? Do I keep my life looking like Jesus and not like the people I am trying to reach? Does my life make others want Jesus in theirs? Fact 2: so I will go about Your alter, O Lord. that I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works. Meaning 2: We need to come to God and share His love and life. Now we do not have to come to an alter because Jesus came to earth and we now get to go straight to Him for our requests and life. We need to give and proclaim that thanksgiving and all that You have done for us. Question 2: Do I share with others the thanksgiving that I have and the joy that Jesus brings? Am I thankful for Him and all that He does for us? Fact 3: Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells. Meaning 3: In the old Testament times, God resided in the temple for the people and they went to Him through the priest and alter with sacrifice until Jesus became our sacrifice and we get to go to Him directly. We love His house which is our bodies, and our church are His. Question 3: Do I love the Lord and dwelling in His temple home in me? Do I treat the temple He gave me with respect and goodness? Am I a temple that He likes to reside in? Take Away!! I need to make sure that I am taking care of my temple of the body for Jesus and keeping it free from all the sin and shame that I have done in my life. I need to clean up and stand up. Father, thank You again for a great message today and the time to spend doing these studies with You. I ask that You would teach us all and lead us into a holy life with You. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
