Dear Jesus, please be with our hearts as we prepare to read Your Word and grow closer to You. Please hold onto us and stand with us as we learn more of You. We are so ready to be in Your presence and know Your love. In Your Name, Amen! Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Fact 1: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Meaning 1: There is a secret place that we can dwell in Him, where He keeps us safe. We can dwell there with Him, not just visit but dwell. He is the most High and yet has time for us as lowly as we are. God loves us and wants us with Him. Question 1: Do I take time to dwell with You? Fact 2: Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Meaning 2: We are safe even in the shadow of You Lord, abide is dwell or living. We need to walk as You desire and rest in Your shadow. Question 2: Do I abide in You Lord? Do I take up my rest and safety in Your shadow and presence? Fact 3: I will say of the Lord, Meaning 3: There are things that we can say and know about God. Question 3: Do I speak about the presence of You? Fact 4: He is my refuge and my fortress; Meaning 4: You are our refuge and fortress; a refuge is to run to and hide which we can do when we need too, and as a fortress You are safe and we are protected. Question 4: Do I truly believe that You are my strength? Do I take that strength that You provide and use it for Your work? Fact 5: My God, in Him I will trust. Meaning 5: He is our God when we have accepted His free gift of salvation, and there is no one greater than Him to trust. Question 5: Do I trust in You? Do I hold You as the God of my life? Take Away!! I need to spend more time 'dwelling' in the Lord and holding onto His presence in my life to abide and trust in Him. Thank You Jesus for reminding us that we can dwell or abide in You and that You will hold fast to us and never let go. That we are safe in the very shadow of You.

Dear Jesus, we ask that you will be with us this morning as we do our study and bless our thoughts and teach us what you would have us to learn. I praise you for this study and the amazing things we are learning through it. In Your Name, Amen! John 1:19-23!! 19 Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” 22 Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” 23 He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” Fact 1: Now this is the testimony of John, Meaning 1: John had a testimony before men and God. Question 1: Do I have a testimony that makes people curious about You? Fact 2: when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" Meaning 2: The Jews were interested to know who John was and His preaching. Question 2: Do I shine in my sharing that people would want to know who I was talking about and following in life? Fact 3: He confessed, and did not deny but confessed, "I am not the Christ". Meaning 3: John did not want them to think he was Jesus. Question 3: Do I shine for You Jesus, can they see you in my life? Fact 4: And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said "I am not." Are you the Prophet?" And he answered "No" Meaning 4: John was making sure they knew that he was not Jesus. Question 4: Do I need to confess I am not Jesus? Does my life so shine for you Jesus that I have to say that I am not You? Fact 5: Then they said to him. "Who are you that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?" Meaning 5: The Jews really wanted to know who John was, they were afraid he was going to be the messiah and they were not ready for him. Question 5: What is my witness for You look like? Fact 6: He said, "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness; "Make straight the way of the Lord" 'as the prophet Isaiah said." Meaning 6: John let them know that he was the for runner of the Lord, and was just crying out to those who did not know Jesus to be ready for His coming. Question 6: Does my life resemble You Jesus enough that I make people curious about You and want to ask about You? Take Away! I need to live a life that others will see and really want to know what makes me different and want that difference in their lives. I have to live set apart and with no evil in my life that would tarnish the Lord in any way. Jesus, thank you for a good study and thoughts on our witness and being whole that we could be so different than others and unique in You that those around us would want to be like us and know You. Dear Jesus, Hello Lord, it is great to come and study with You and know that You want us to be working to be the best we can be. I am so excited to share with others. In Your Name, Amen! John 1:14-18 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Fact 1: And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us Meaning 1: Jesus became flesh and came down to dwell with us and experience the things that we go through each day so that He knew us. Question 2: Do I allow myself to follow Your example that You lived on earth? Fact 2: and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, Meaning 2: We had Jesus, which is God's only begotten son in all His glory on earth. We have Him in us with all His glory now. Question 2: Do I shine with the glory of Jesus in me Lord? Fact 3: full of grace and truth Meaning 3: Jesus was full of grace for us and the truth that saves us. Question 3: Do I share truth with those around me and show grace to them? Fact 4: John bore witness of Him Meaning 4: John came first and bore witness to Jesus. Question 4: Do I bare witness of You Jesus who are coming back to us? Fact 5: and cried out, saying "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'" Meaning 5: John got to baptize Jesus and proclaimed to everyone that He was the one that John had been saying was coming. Question 5: Do I proclaim the return of Jesus coming that others need to be ready for and looking to? Fact 6: And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. Meaning 6: When we accept the Lord Jesus, we receive His fullness, we receive all of Him into our lives, and the grace that He gives. Question 6: Do I live in the fullness of Jesus with grace in my life? Fact 7: For the law was given through Moses. Meaning 7: The law is what the Jews were given for a way to get to heaven and be saved from the destruction. Question 7: Do I try to follow the Law's that Moses gave? Fact 8: but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ Meaning 8: Jesus brought us grace and truth and that makes for us having salvation in Him and not have to follow the law that could not be fully obeyed. Question 8: Do I cherish the salvation that came through You Jesus? Fact 9: No one has seen God at any time, Meaning 9: We cannot look on God with our human eyes, we see Him through the son which is Jesus. Question 9: Do I look at You Jesus and know that even though I cannot see God I see Him through You? Fact 10: The only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Meaning 10: Jesus declared that God the Father is seen through Him, that He is in God's arms and loved by God. And He portrays God in Himself. Question 10: Do I look for the Father through Jesus? Take Away!! I need to focus and look to Jesus and His life so that I can know the Father better, and know that He is our savior and love. Dear Jesus, thank you for teaching us about your love for us and the Father's love for us. I ask that I will be a witness for You and for Your love. In Your Name, Amen!
Dear Jesus, I ask that you would be with us and watch over us each day as we spend time together again. Please help me to learn what you have for me. I am so excited to give You my heart. To spend time with You. In Jesus Name, Amen! John 1:10-13 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Fact 1: He was in the world, and the world was made though Him, Meaning 1: You give a little of yourself into everything that is made, and Jesus was in the world too when He created it. Question 1: Do I look to find You, Jesus in everything that is made in the world? Fact 2: and the world did not know Him. Meaning 2: The world that He came to had gotten so far away from God, they did not recognize Him when He came to earth. Question 2: Do I try to help people recognize You in our world? Fact 3: He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. Meaning 3: He came to the Jews and they did not want any part of Him, they did not believe who He was and turned away. Question 3: Do I turn away from You in my life? Fact 4: but as many as received Him to them He gave the right to become children of God Meaning 4: Those that did receive Him when He came, He gave the opportunity to become His children, and for all of us after He was not on the earth in body. Question 4: Do I receive You Lord and really want You to be in my life and changing me to be the person that You desire me to be? Fact 5: .to those who believe in His name Meaning 5: We have the ability to believe in His name Question 5: Do I truly believe in Your name? Fact 6: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh nor of the will of the man, but of God Meaning 6: God bore us of Him when we come to Him for salvation, no other birth makes the difference, just born of Him. Question 6: Do I share with others that You have come to help us be born into Your family and be in heaven for the rest of eternity? Take Away!! I need to spend more time sharing what you have done for us and that we need to be born again for us to go and live in heaven after we pass from this earth. I do not want any to perish and I want so many to go to heaven who are not headed there now. Dear Jesus, Thank you for another good study and for the time to spend in Your Word each day so that we can stand for You and know Your Word. In Jesus Name, Amen!
John 1:6-9 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That[b] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. Dear Jesus, we come before you today to see what we can find in Your Word that You and for us. Please help us to think about our facts and meanings and know that You are the living Word and we must learn from You. In Your Name, Amen! Fact 1: There was a man sent from God whose name was John Meaning 1: Our God, sent John to do His work Question 1: Am I available to You when You want to send me? Fact 2: This man came for a witness Meaning 2: The man John came to be a witness for Jesus. Question 2: Do I allow You to use me as a witness? Fact 3: to bear witness of the Light Meaning 3: John got to bear witness to Jesus coming to save us as the Light. Question 3: Do I stand as a witness for You, the Light on my daily walk? Fact 4: that all through him might believe He was not that Light Meaning 4: John wanted all men that heard him speak to believe that He was not the Light but there was one coming that would be the Light. Question 4: Do I let all men hear that I am bearing witness to You, Jesus? Fact 5: but was sent to bear witness of that Light Meaning 5: John again says that he was here to bear witness to the Light that was coming. He was the witness to Jesus. Question 5: Do I do my best to bear witness for You? Fact 6: That was the true Light Meaning 6: Jesus is the true Light. Question 6: Do I truly believe that You Jesus are the true light? Fact 7: which gives light to every man coming into the world. Meaning 7: He gives the opportunity for EVERY man to know the Light when he comes into the world. Question 7: Do I share so that every man can know You? Take Away!! I need to bare witness to Jesus even now so that more people see Him and what He has done for all. I need to have that love for those that I can reach. Dear Jesus, thank you for a good set of verses and our time together learning about the things that You desire for us to learn. We are glad that You care about us and all in the world and have the desire to see us saved. In Your Name, Amen!

Dear Jesus, we ask that You will be with us as we study John. We will have a great time going through Your Word about You. In Your Name, Amen!! Fact 1: In the beginning was the Word Meaning 1: The Word who we know as Jesus was in the beginning, there was a beginning where God and Jesus were. Question 1: Do I realize that You as the Word were always there? Fact 2: and the Word was with God, Meaning 2: The Word was with God, so it a part of God too. Question 2: Do I understand that the Word was with God? Fact 3: and the Word was God Meaning 3: The Word our Jesus, is God as well Question 3: Do I believe that God and the Word are one? Fact 4: He was in the beginning with God. Meaning 4: The beginning had God and the Word. Question 4: Do I believe they were all in the beginning together? Fact 5: All things were made through Him, Meaning 5: The Word made all things we know. Question 5: Do I appreciate the things that God and the Word has made? Fact 6: and without Him nothing was made that was made. Meaning 6: If the Word had not been nothing would have been made. Question 6: Do I realize that You were the one that made all? Fact 7: In Him was life Meaning 7: The Word holds our life in Him. Question 7: Do I allow You to direct my life? Fact 8: and the life was the light of men. Meaning 8: Jesus is our light in the dark world. Question 8: Do I allow Your light to shine through me? Fact 9: and the light shines in the darkness, Meaning 9: Jesus' light shown in our world, in the darkness of life. Question 9: Do I shine Jesus light to my dark world? Fact 10: and the darkness did not comprehend it. Meaning 10: Those in darkness did not realize what the light was. Question 10: Do I realize what your light is in me? Take Away!!
Jesus was with God always and He came to share with others, I need to share that light of God to all men even if they do not understand, it will not be void.

Fact 2: that he will receive anything from the Lord. Meaning 2: When You are a man tossed about do you think God will bless you. Question 2: Do I receive from my Lord in my faith? Fact 3: he is a double-minded man Meaning 3: A man that wants from God but does not live for God. Question 3: Do I strive to live for You Lord and not be double minded? Fact 4: unstable in all his ways. Meaning 4: The double minded is unstable in all his ways. Question 4: Do I stand strong in You Lord? Take Away!! To make sure that I strive to be a solid person on the rock of Jesus so that I am not tossed around and become an unstable double minded person. Jesus, thank You that I know You and love You and am learning each day to have a great relationship with You. Keep me strong and allow my life to worship You. In Your Name, Amen!

Both earthly and heavenly wisdom? Fact 2: let him ask of God, Meaning 2: All we have to do is ask God for wisdom. Question 2: Do I ask You for wisdom? Do I say the words? Fact 3: who gives to all liberally Meaning 3: God gives us wisdom liberally when we ask. Question 3: Do I accept the wisdom You give me each day? Do I search out the wisdom You have put before me? Fact 4: and without reproach, Meaning 4: He does not get after us for asking Him for wisdom. Question 4: Do I know that You love to give wisdom with no reproach or anger in You? Fact 5: and it will be given to him. Meaning 5: God gives us the wisdom that we ask for. He will provide when we ask Him. Question 5: Do I accept that wisdom when it is given to me? Fact 6: But let him ask in faith, Meaning 6: We must ask in faith that we will receive wisdom. We have to have faith in God to give it. Question 6: Do I believe that You will give me wisdom, have faith that Your Word is correct? Fact 7: with no doubting, Meaning 7: We must not doubt. Question 7: Do I doubt You Lord? Do I doubt that I can have clear wisdom from you each day? Fact 8: for he who doubts Meaning 8: If we doubt Question 8: Do I doubt? Fact 9: is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Meaning 9: We are not walking a line of belief if we are doubting and will be unbelieving and not able to accept wisdom from God if we are doubting and have no faith. Question 9: Am I like the waves of the sea, or am I standing in Christ for the strength of faith that I need? Take Away!! I need to have faith and ask for wisdom of earth and heaven both. Jesus, as we have learned today that we are able to get wisdom from You while asking for it and we can search that out in Your Word or if it is earthly in studies. But You can and will give us wisdom. Thank You Jesus, In Your Name, Amen!
