Father, today is a beautiful day and we thank You for it. Give us a good lesson and bless our hearts with You. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Philemon 1:8-9 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, 9 yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you—being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ-- Fact 1: Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, Meaning 1: Paul could have used his authority to command Philemon to obey, but he rather chose to appeal or ask Philemon to obey and do what he knows is right. Question 1: Do I listen when God asks me to something? Am I one that can be appealed to when God is trying to get me to obey? Fact 2: yet for love's sake I rather appeal to you - being such a one as Paul, the aged, and not also prisoner of Jesus Christ -- Meaning 2: Paul then appeals to Philemon to obey and it is because of their friendship that he asks for Philemon to obey. Question 2: Do I obey when God asks me to do something? Am I strong enough to do as He says without needing commanded? Take Away!! I need to be sure that I am doing what God desires in life and not having to be hit hard to get it through my head. Father, thank You for the reminder that the world goes a lot smoother when we are obeying You. In Jesus Name amen!!

We learn from Paul thanks to Your Word that we need to be more like Jesus and learn from Paul. In Jesus Name, Amen!!

I need to be sure that I am letting those I love, know that I love them and pray for them. Encouragement that each of us has a special place in their hearts. Father, thank You for sharing this with us and letting us know that even someone like Paul took the time to let others know they meant something to him. We need to do that too. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
The Lord's Prayer!!Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom comes. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.”
Father, keep us holding onto You are striving to get closer to You in all we do and say. I ask that You would touch our hearts and stand in You each day. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Now that we have read and studied the meaning of each verse in The Lord's Prayer you can understand the meaning and work to put those meanings into your daily prayers. A prayer simple like this: Lord, we are loyal and true to You in heaven. You are in charge of the world and we will do exactly what you say. Thank You for all that you give us each day. I forgive others their mistakes, please forgive mine. Help me avoid making bad decisions. Set me free from my sins. You have all the power and deserve all the praise. Amen. If we meditate on each part of this prayer, it will keep our moral compass standing in God's will. We can go before the Lord requesting His guidance and protection. The Lord's Prayer focuses our thoughts on what is important in life, how we can be 'good and faithful servants,' we revere God and accept His will in our lives, we know His Word, and love each other through forgiveness and love. Thank You Father, for a great study and a blessing in our lives to learn more about what You desire in our prayers. So, we can bring to You our requests and desires along with our respect and love. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, please help us to learn from this study all You have us know. We will stand in You and pray these prayers to You. In Jesus Name, Amen!! For Thine is the Kingdom, |
We are almost finished with this study; it has been a great study and a lot of good information explaining the reason that Jesus gave this prayer to His disciples to work on their prayers. It is a format for them to use as Jesus was speaking to them as He always did. He was teaching them how to pray for the things they desired to pray for. |
But Deliver Us from Evil
Hello again, we are almost finished with this study and Haniniya will be back to do her Bible studies with You. It has been so much fun to spend time with You and talk about what the "Lord's Prayer" was given to us for. Remember that as you pray you need to include each section of the prayer in your prayer. |
And Lead Us Not into Temptation
God gave us a free will to do and live as we want, He wants us to choose Him and live for Him, but He does not force us to do that. He is faithful to provide us with a way out no matter what we get ourselves into.
Haniniya
I am Haniniya and I am from Bethlehem, Judea, Israel and I love the Lord and walk in His Word. I want to share His Word with You each day.
