Father, please be with us and keep us holding onto You and finding the things that You want us to learn. We can all get different ideas from the study today and I pray we listen. In Jesus name, amen!! Bear and Share Burdens!!Galatian 6:1-5 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load. Fact 1: Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Meaning 1: When we have friends who are doing wrong and we still spend time with them and are not sharing how wrong they are, we are allowing them to continue in sin. We need to be gentle and kind to restore them to spiritual pureness. If we are not diligent then we can be pulled into the same sins they commit. Question 1: I have seen this so many times, do I learn from the past and change to be the person You desire of me Lord? Or do I pick up the bad habits and fail You in my life? Fact 2: Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Meaning 2: We are to be there to bear another's burdens and point them to Jesus. But we have to be careful to help them and still focus on Christ and all He has for us. We should listen, but not engage in what they are doing. Question 2: Do I see people hurting and turn away from them? Do I have anyone in my life that needs my life in theirs? Fact 3: For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Meaning 3: We are nothing when we do not have Jesus in our lives making us someone special. We have to be sure that we do not start thinking more of ourselves than working to be more like Jesus. We deceive ourselves when we think we are more. Question 3: Do I get my head around the fact that I am nothing without God in me? That I can do nothing right without God in me? That I would be a loss if I try to live without Him? Fact 4: But let each one examines his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load. Meaning 4: We need to examine our lives and make sure that we are living for Jesus and not for ourselves. We need to bear our load and not dump it on someone else. Yet we need to share with others what we are going through and they can help, but not take over. Question 4: Do I hold onto the pain that besets me or do I give it to God and friends to help me? Take Away!! I need to let go of the pain that I live and give it to Jesus so that I am not carrying it around. I also need to allow others to know what is going on and help without dumping it all on them. Father, thank You for giving us friends to do things with and for us. I ask that You bless those around me that have my back for me. In Jesus Name, amen.

Father, please be with us and help us to learn today what You would have us keep in our minds. In Jesus name, amen!! Walking in the Spirit!!Galatians 5:22-26 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Fact 1: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Meaning 1: We know the fruits of the Spirit as the way we are supposed to live. But do we? And do we know what each of those entail? The depths that we need to go to know and live each day in the Spirit. Question 1: Is our life a life that we want God to see us living? Do we know that we need to live by these truths and stand in each one to keep our hearts pure for the Lord? Fact 2: And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Meaning 2: We should be working to do the fruits and not be centered on us so that we end up doing the things that we are working to get away from. It is wrong to think so highly of ourselves that we lord over others or provoke them to upset them or even envying then for what the might have. We need to ask forgiveness when we find ourselves doing just that. Question 2: Do I find myself wrapped in those things that will keep us from pleasing God? Do I remember to confess and work at not doing them again? Take Away!! I need to learn not to be the things that the Spirit is against and work to be a content and joyful person in all I do. Following the fruits of the Spirit. Father, forgive me for doing things that You desire me to do and help me to keep my heart following You in all things. In Jesus name, Amen!! a
Father, thank You for coming to save us and thank You for all that You do for us so that we can be happy and healthy. Give us a good study today and bless us as we grow in You. In Jesus Name, amen!! Walking in the Spirit!!Galatians 5:16-21 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Fact 1: I say then; Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another so that you do not do the things that you wish. Meaning 1: When we are not walking in God's Spirit then we are not going to find it simple to live and you will live for the flesh and get yourself in trouble. We need to walk in the Spirit and keep ourselves in the Spirit and out of the flesh. Question 1: Am I not doing the things that I know God is not for? Do I live my life in the Spirit so that I can walk in newness of life in Jesus? How can I be sure that the lust of the flesh is not leading me on to sin? Fact 2: But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Meaning 2: The Jews live by the law that God gave them and the laws that they added, when we are saved by Jesus that law means nothing to us. We should try to keep the 10 commandments, but they are not for salvation. Jesus is for salvation. Question 2: Does my life follow Jesus and live by the things that He tells us to live by? Am I standing in Him each day? Fact 3: Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness; idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, enby, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Meaning 3: When people are living in the flesh and outside the will of God then they are not going to heaven. The only way to heaven is accepting Jesus as savior. He alone is our way to heaven. Question 3: Do I live my life away from the lust of the flesh? Am I focusing on what God tells us to do through Jesus and His followers? Take Away!! I need to make sure that I am doing everything I can to be the person that God desires me to be and stand in His Spirit. Father, thank You for a good study on living in the Spirit. Remembering that we need to "Walk in the Spirit" and do the things that show others that we are in Your will. In Jesus name, amen!!
