Father, thank You for a new Saturday, we are blessed to have You watching over us and doing well in your world. Please come and take us to heaven soon. This poor earth is losing its life. Thank You for Your love and Word You have given us. In Jesus Name, Amen!! Psalm 8:5-9 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen-- Even the beasts of the field, 8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! Fact 1: For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Meaning 1: We are lower than the angels in heaven, we have been or will be crowned with glory and honor. We have a place in Your heaven and Your family for always. Question 1: Do I walk in life like I am crowned? Like I am His creation in glory and honor? Fact 2: You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, Meaning 2: We are above all on earth, all things that God created for the earth are under our dominion. Question 2: Do I treat the things that God put me over on earth with respect and love? Do I do what I can to hold onto God and be over His creation with Him? Fact 3: All sheep and oxen - even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas. Meaning 3: We are over all animals and they are subject to us and the things we do. Not caring for the earth well has caused losses to many animals, we are not protecting what God has given. Question 3: Do I protect what has been placed in my life? Fact 4: O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! Meaning 4: We have a wonderful and excellent God. Whose name is above all names in the universe. We should praise Him and treat Him as our God and King. Question 4: Do I honor You Lord like I should? Do I praise Your name above all names? Take Away!! I need to appreciate and care for the things that God has given me on our earth. To love and watch over the animals and things that He put on the earth. Father, thank You for reminding us that we are above the things on the earth and that we have to care for those things that You have given us or that we find in the world. Also thank You for loving us and taking good care of us. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Father, thank You for bringing us together and giving us this time to study Your Word. Help us to learn what You have for us to learn. We want to grow in You daily. In Jesus Name, Amen!! John 8:21-23 21 Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?” 23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Fact 1: Then Jesus said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come." Meaning 1: Jesus was talking spiritual and flesh. They could follow Him around on earth, but soon He would go back to heaven and they could not come with Him. They were choosing not to believe and so they were not going to come to Him. Question 1: Do I know that I am prepared to follow Jesus to heaven as well as follow His Word and Will while on earth. Fact 2: So the Jews said, "Will He kill Himself, because He says, "Where I go you cannot come?" Meaning 2: They were thinking flesh again not spirit, thinking that He was going to die to get away from them, when they wanted to kill Him to get Him away from the people. Question 2: Do I think that when I die I will be in heaven? Do I consider that I really will be in heaven? That we have a future and it is not just the end? Fact 3: And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Meaning 3: He was speaking of who He really way which is God. They are created beings that came from the dust of the earth. Question 3: Do I know that I am not going to be of this world, we are going to be in the world until we die, then out of this world? Does that sink in at all? Take Away!! I need to make sure that I am headed onto the right path to heaven and taking everyone that I can with me. Father, thank You for a good study and reminder that we are on our way to heaven and that we will be where Jesus went soon. We will go home to be with Him. I need to bring everyone that I can with me. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Father, I want to come before You today and spend time with You. Please forgive me of anything I have not asked for forgiveness for and give me a word from You today. I want to hear something just from You in this study. In Jesus Name Amen! John 8:17-20 17 It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.” 19 Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.” 20 These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come. Fact 1: It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me" Meaning 1: Jesus was talking about God bearing witness with Him and that would have been sufficient for them if they had only known who Jesus truly was. They were ignorant of who He was. Question 1: Do I bear witness in my walk with Jesus of who He is in me? Do I spend time praying that my life resembles His? Fact 2: Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Meaning 2: They thought He was talking about the man Joseph who was called His father in their world. They did not believe Him to be from God and also God Himself. Question 2: Do I think of the fact that God is watching over us? Where is Your Father they asked, Does my life portray a love that will turn others to that Father true? Fact 3: Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you would have known Me, you would have known My Father also." Meaning 3: Jesus was talking about God, knowing Him more will help You know the Father. Question 3: Do I look to the Word of God to know Jesus more so that in learning about Him I learn about God the Father as well since they two are one? Fact 4: These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come. Meaning 4: Again it was not His time to be caught up, so He was able to teach and get away from the Jews once again. Question 4: Does my life make people wonder about Jesus and ask questions about why I am different? They thought Jesus was different, what about me? Take Away!! John is all about getting into the Word more and searching out the scriptures to be who He desires us to be. All the things He did in the scriptures was put there so that we would have interest and believe in Him. I need to spend that time and work at getting others to want the change it has made in me. Father, Thank You for the word today that I need to live my life in You and work to bring others to You so that they want to know You. I need to bear witness with my life that You are God above all. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Heavenly Father, I ask that You would keep us close to You as the days go by that we would study and get together and learn more about You and Your love. Please help us to have a lot of good lessons in this set of verses. In Jesus Name Amen! John 8:12-16 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, “You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true.” 14 Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. 15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16 And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. Fact 1: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." Meaning 1: We can trust that God will shine on us Spiritually and show us our way when we follow Him by being in His Word and hearing the preaching. Question 1: Do I spend enough time in the Word and following Him in all things? Do I know when I am walking in the light? Fact 2: The Pharisees therefore said to Him, "You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true." Meaning 2: They did not believe that He was able to bear witness of Himself. They needed witnesses to believe in truth. They were trying to cast doubt on Jesus in the peoples eyes because they feared what He had to say and how people were believing Him. Question 2: Do I have the knowledge that will be a witness to Jesus? Do I live out that witness on a daily basis? Fact 3: Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; Meaning 3: He was God so His witness was true in all times, but they did not recognize Him as who He IS. To them He was a man. Question 3: Do I have the ability to bear witness to Jesus? Do I live a life together with God that will show others His ways? Fact 4: but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. You judge according to the flesh: Meaning 4: They believed in the man of Jesus on earth and not that He was also God as well. They judged Him to be what they could see in front of their faces and not knowing or believing that He would one day rise and live forever as His God self. Question 4: Do I really grasp that Jesus is also God? That He has the power of all and the ability to do all things? He IS God! Fact 5: I judge no one. And yet if I do judge, My judgement is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me. Meaning 5: Jesus did not come to condemn the world, He is not judging us but showing us the way to God so that we are not judged by God either. The only way to get past the judgement is to accept Jesus. Then we will be covered by His blood. Question 5: Do I live a life that is showing that I believe and stand with Jesus in life? Am I covered in the blood? Take Away!! I need to learn to walk as a covered person, knowing that God is great and mighty in all things and that His witness of Himself is true. He is God even when He was man He kept His God virtues. I need to work to have those same virtues. Father, thank You for a good lesson on how we see Jesus and how the people mistake Him for a good prophet. Your witness is true and we have to believe in that witness that Jesus is God. Thank You for a good lesson and I praise You for Your love, in Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, Thank You for another day and another lesson from Your Word. Thank You for watching over us and bringing us here again today to study and learn. In Jesus Name, Amen! John 8:7-11 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Fact 1: So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." Meaning 1: Jesus was not going to get caught up in their desire to convict Him, so He left it for them to decide and do it. Question 1: Do I judge people when there is sin in my life that I need to deal with? Do I look at others and not myself? Fact 2: And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Meaning 2: I can see Jesus starting to write out peoples sins on the ground. To make known without calling them out. Question 2: Do I have sins that Jesus would have to write on the ground that I have not confessed to Him already? Fact 3: Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. Meaning 3: Those who were there had enough sins they could not even cast a stone, the pompous Jews could not even throw the first stone at her. Question 3: Do I get pompous and forget my sins when hearing about others doing the sins they do? Fact 4: And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Meaning 4: They all left because they had sin in their lives and left it to just the woman and Jesus. Question 4: Do I spend time just Jesus and myself? Do I work at loving and following Him each day? Fact 5: When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" Meaning 5: Jesus had been writing on the ground and waited for all to leave before He stood and talked to her. He wanted her to realize that they were all sinners too and did not condemned her. Question 5: Do I forget about my sin and condemn others when God is the only one who could condemn them anyway. Fact 6: She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." Meaning 6: Jesus chose to not condemn her because He came not to condemn the world but to make the world have salvation and forgiveness. John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Question 6: Do I go and sin no more? Do I even try to go and sin no more? Take Away!! We really need to take care of our sins in our lives and then be watching over others. God is in control and we are supposed to say something about sin, but we are not to be high and mighty and judge others. It is God's business to get to their heart. Father, Thank You for Your care and love toward us even when we do not deserve this love You give. I praise You for all You do and all You are in life. In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Father, please help us to stand in You and be Your creation as You desired us to be. Come take us home soon we need to know Your home as ours. We do not want to continue here. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. Fact 1: Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" Meaning 1: It was commanded that those who committed adultery should be stoned. That is how bad God hates adultery.. The sin of adultery was a high punishment sin God hated. Question 1: Do I speak out against adultery when there are people around me that are living in sin? Fact 2: This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. Meaning 2: The Jews were just trying to catch Jesus in something that would break His ministry and give them the opportunity to take Him into custody and kill Him. Question 2: Do I try to test God at times? Do I test Him on the good stuff as well? Fact 3: But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. Meaning 3: It is wondered by many if Jesus started writing on the ground the sins of those around Him. Question 3: Do I believe that Jesus knew what they were trying to do and He was getting them instead? Take Away!! I need to be more conscientious in what I am doing and that I am doing it for God. That if He asks me to speak that I will speak and when He says be silent then I am silent. Father, I am so blessed to know You and have You in my life. I am happy that we have a wonderful God who loves and protects us in all that we do. Bless You Father, In Jesus Name, Amen!!
Ending the Reign of Guilt; Shame and Regret!! Our past is forgiven. When Jesus forgave us and died in our place all our sins were in the future and taken care of. We ask forgiveness and He forgives. There is no condemnation in God. There might be consequences, but no condemnation. The enemy loves to play back our past and try to bring us down and wallowing in the muck, but we need to tell him that we are forgiven and loved by God. When he cues the past up again, he is mocking and maligning us to make us feel unforgiven and worse unforgiveable too. We are never unforgiveable. If he cannot make us feel judged, then he will try to turn us into judges, which is a sin as well. It is good to try to work it into more constructive circumstances and learn from the past, see other options of what we could have done and ultimately help others to not make the mistakes that we did. An alternate ending that is likely to end in better works. With no resolutions, we end up with dread and heartache. We need to work to feel the ongoing residual blessings of being regenerated by God's Spirit - all things are new. By prayer - fervent, strategic prayer - can change things. Even unchangeable things. Even things as unchangeable as real-life scenes from your past. Prayer does not wipe it all away, or pretend it never happen, but it does bring us forgiveness and the ability to move on in Christ. It will not have permission to touch us anymore, we can travel to new places of freedom and fulness. First, God does not lives in the past. God, our God, exists outside of time. Second, We only live by grace anyway. The totally amazing grace of God. One of the qualities that make the gospel so real and so great is that it does not eliminate our past but just os thourghly deals with it. God forgives it and He changes it. He makes our mess into a mountain of grace. That makes us higher and closer to Him. This gives us a reason for endless worship and free-flowing testimony.
Father, I ask that You will forgive me for my wrongs and keep me close to You. I thank You for all that You do for us and what it means in this world. I thank You for all You do that we do not even know is going on. Please help us to have a great study and time with You today. In Jesus Name Amen!! Question 5: Do I watch for the times I need more and He gives strength to me and silence to the enemy? Fact 6: When I consider Your Heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, Meaning 6: You created all Lord, with Your hands and with Your voice You created it all. Are we thankful for the things we know You did? Are we thinking of the things that we do not know, but You did? Take Away!! Father, thank You for all You do and help us to be aware that Your hand is on our lives and that we are Yours and You protect and watch over us every minute of the day. In Jesus Name, Amen!

John 8:1-4 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. We all sin, and we need to be up early and ask God for help for the day. He is waiting to be our savior not our judge. Father, Thank You for a good study, I cannot wait to move on in this story, it is hard to do it with so few verses. Please help us to understand and know what You would have us to know each day. In Jesus Name, Amen!
