I cannot believe it but they think sometime tonight they are going to move off the mountain and into La Grande, then we will go on to Elgin in the morning. The tracks are being cleared off tonight, but it was all hands-on deck to get us moving off the mountain. So tonight, they clear tracks and tomorrow I arrive in Elgin. That is the plan tonight and I will believe it when I get off the train and into TA;s home with the girls. I cannot believe that I am almost home after 18 days on a train. At least we were not this buried, and it took four days to dig out so they could find a way out. I am glad that our avalanche did not bury us at all. In 1952 on the donner mountain trail this train was caught in a snowstorm and avalanche. Crazy!! Well, I am off to eat dinner and curl up and listen to my book and color. I did finish two-page spread last night finally. I think it turned out cute. These are a lot of work shading and things, but so much fun to do.
Hopfully will write one last post for arriving home tomorrow .
