Here is my home, we got to help design it and thought it was amazing when we finished. No one has a house like us girls have. We love it, My big sisters Maggie and Taryn do too. Today we hope to get three tops at least finished. We cut them out yesterday so they are ready to sew today if we have the go power. Mama is still rather tired. If we like the tie top, then we will probably make those three today and save the other top for tomorrow or Thursday. We might do some more room stuff tomorrow. Gotta work on both, but we are about to need the door clear so we can pack some stuff out to the shed and Nana has the door blocked. 2pm - Mama finished the tie top, it only gave her a little trouble but she even figured it out alone. Nana was not helpful and it took her several unstitching and restitching. She did figure it out, but it would have been easier to have Nana look at the pattern and share with her.

Off we go, have a good night.
The boys got a cow for milk and a couple for meat this fall. So we now have cows in the barn and field. I am glad they are the boy project. No FFA this year because of the virus and what are they going to do about rodeo's and Athena Scottish games? This is our house, Myself, and my twin sisters Tayla and Willow. We love our house and the fun that we have here. It is awfully big for just the three of us, but it is what our parents wanted. We do like it and appreciate the space. The boys have another plot of ground where they raise corn, potatoes and other big veggies to supply our home during the summer and winter. We love fresh garden food. It is always a nice thing to eat fresh and canned veggies all year. We also have a small orchard that has apples several different kinds and apricots and peaches, then we have some cherries, pears, and plums, The boys trim and keep them looking nice, we girls do the picking and canning of the fruits. We have some green grapes, but they take a lot of work so we usually just eat them, we have blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and huckleberries too. Good jams for the winter. Nighters!!
The covid-19 does not stop us much from going out working our land or taking care of the horses and other animals we have. They cannot be left to fend for themselves.
We are excited for a few things to be going on, we are expecting a calf later this month, then we will have milk once it is weaned from the mama. We will fatten it up and have meat this fall. We have a baby llama already it is the cutest little thing. I will have to get some photos and post next time or have one of the girls do it. I do not have time to post much. We do online school in the morning to finish our classes up and then we do our chores and goof off later on. We have most of the kids that are good about helping out around the place. Nighters, I live here with my Aunt Joni, older sister Nefritiri and older brother Jeremiah. We love being here with Aunt Joni, she loves to do things with us too. She keeps us all active.
Well, tomorrow Mama will either keep working on her room which is getting to look so good, or she will sew, she has not decided yet what she is going to do. It will depend on how cold it is tomorrow, she wants to spend another day on the room as the doll stuff is about cleaned up.
We need a few more containers and they do not carry the ones that we want. So we will have to do something else, really the stuff in them that are not clothing stuff can be put in something else. We have a lot of that stuff, did not think of that until now. That will help. Ok, we are off to sleep!!
This is where my sister Natalya and I live right now. We are loving our home and the area we live in too. The community is a wondrous place to be. We share our island with the Highland Manor kids too. If you have not known our family for long we are kids whose parents travel and are gone most of the time and we needed another life to live. So we came and built homes on the Island in Vermont. {I know most of you have not heard of Lake Champlain in Vermont that has an island, but it is there.} We are a community at Stonehaven Estates and then another community of Highland Manor.
Nana Kathie keeps us rounded up and doing what we are supposed to do with help from the four aunts that are here too. They keep us active and outdoors as much as possible. So far none of us kids have gotten sick, but our school closed right down and moved our work to online, so we are still doing our classes, just not all together with other kids. That is supposed to help. We have not kept up on Covid-19 at all, thought we would go over some numbers a little, globally we hit 529,614 people with the virus, we are now the top carrier at 83,545, we are ahead of China now who started and has 2/3 more people than we have. Oregon has 316 confirmed cases, but they are just sending home anyone who does not need hospitalization, and not counting all of them as they are not testing them either.
10pm - Off we go to sleep .. have a great day. This is Malynn and I's home on the island, we love rock and wood homes. We love our home and love living on the island with the rest of the group. This is a wonderful community and we have been very happy here while parents are traveling for business all the time. 1pm - Brrrr .. We are cold in this here place. We are also working on organizing things. Specially the doll room, it is a disaster with stuff we have played with and taken back into the room and NOT put away, so it is a put away and organize the room, probably more than one day as it is cold in there and we are doing quick trips. LOL!!
2:45pm - Getting more finished in the room, now we have a container open and empty so we can put things in it now that are on the floor waiting for a container. It will be good to get a pathway into the room to work, right now we are stepping over things that are not doll related. That stuff can all go in the container now. 9pm - Slept for awhile, still have a lot of work to do in the room, so it will be more work tomorrow .. and the next day .. and the next day .. It is wet and muddy outdoors today and I cannot get kids to go out and do things much in these times. We are not to be out and about, but at least we are all one big family so everyone can be around everyone else. So they have lots to do. Here is my home, I built a small home next to the kids, but during times like this I have lots of kids staying with me and over doing WII games, so it is a busy house.
We went way up again on people effected on this coronavirus. Then our president wants to send everyone back to work. WHAT?? I am glad that we normally live in our own little world and do not pay attention to this stuff. Tomorrow we are looking at going up to the Tollgate snow park and putting boots on the girls take them up for real snow photos. LOL!! There is still snow all over up Tollgate. Which is a good thing, it will mean good water for the summer, even if not as much as most years. Gotta have that water.
The kids have been listening to the Harry Potter books again, they love them because they can craft and talk and just listen to their favorite parts. LOL!! It is just background noise. Tomorrow we have to go in and work on putting things away in our room, we have a couple bags of stuff that have gone in but have not gotten it put away. That means it is time to do it. Well we are off to sleep!! Nighters!!
We also printed some new ones on Friday, a couple new and several that we just had not printed yet, but want to try them out. God also provided a lot of fabric again, Lynn gave us so much fabric when we did lunch. This is my home on the island, I was going to do a smaller house for just me, but I have kids stay with me a lot so they are not alone in their house so I am happy that I chose this one. It is a good size for my extra kids.
We have to find something other than white to go with the colors like that, the flowers show through a little on the white, but not as bad as it looked like it was going too.
Mama has had an ear ache all day, it started with mash potato ears and turned into an ear that was tight and throbbing tonight. Her darn ears make for a hard thing to deal with all around. We put our jackets on and off we went. There were people out river rafting today, brr .. that would be a cold trip down the river right now. The wind kept blowing our hair in our faces, so we finally gave up and just let it go. LOL!! I hope they wore wet suits. It was "COLD" water. We were a little nervous going fishing, Josi and I have never been fishing before, but we were brave enough to give it a try. There was a great BIG rock that we climbed up and sat on. It was huge. We then went down to the river to fish, Kityee was so excited that she got right on putting her chair up as close to the water as she could. Katyee was right behind her with her chair. We were all excited about the fishing time, but none more than Kityee, she loves to fish. She thinks fishing and hunting are tons of fun. Katyee noticed that Kityee sad down and was waiting for her fishing pole. "What do you think I am? I am your TWIN, NOT your gopher. said Katyee, throwing her hands in the air. Kityee answered "You are the younger twin, your my slave." With a big cheesy grin. We all laughed so hard. Katyee decided to get Kityee's fishing pole ONLY because she had to go get hers too. She would not wait on her sister normally. I was helping Josi get down and in her seat, she left her crutches in the car where they would be safe and I gave her a piggyback ride down to the rock then she walked. Kityee got her fishing pole and Katyee decided that it was time to get her fishing on. I got my chair and Josi and I's fishing poles, and we started casting it out into the fishing hole. It was a beautiful spring morning, we do not usually have this kind of weather in March. There is normally snow still hanging around. Kityee and Josi pulled out a fish at the same time, Kityee got a little red fish and Josi got a rainbow trout. We have good fishing here as some come from Wallowa county and some from Union county. LOL!! We were all excited for first fish. It was funny they pulled them out at the same time. They got to share the lime light of fish number one. Kityee pulled her fish up and asked Katyee to get that slimy thing off her hook, she did not want to touch it and normally she loves fishing and does not mind them. I got a hold of Josi's fish and held it up for her to see. She was creep-ed out over that flopping fish, she did not want to touch it. I told her that it was just a fish and we can catch so we can cook fish and have it for dinner. She was not really sure about that. ![]() Josi got off and hid behind her chair, there was no way she was going to touch that fish .. It was just too slimy and wiggly for her, "Just put it back or something." Josi suggested, I need a little social distancing from that thing. After putting our first fish on a string and in the water so they would stay fresh we all got back to fishing, two fish were not going to be enough to eat for four of us. Kityee seems to be a good fisher woman and she caught another fish, it was another little red one. Kityee and Katyee got the next fish off the hook and onto the string, they loved getting that fish off, they are strange. I did not like it that well, but we did not make them do ours. We got the fish on the string and in the water as we caught them, it actually turned out to be a lot of fun. We all sat down for another few fish, we wanted to make sure that we all got a fish of our own to eat and maybe some extra. When we were finished, we talked Josi into holding the fish for us while we got a photo of us and our catch. We had so much fun getting out of the house and around no one all day. Here are our fish, we are just wondering though how in the world we caught a SQUID!! He is on the bottom of our string?? No one will claim to have caught that one in our river. Thanks for reading our stories, we had fun on our first fishing trip of the summer. We will probably do that again. And if you are wondering why we have dresses on it is because Josi is Mennonite and cannot wear pants or shorts, so you will see us doing a lot of interesting things in our dresses this summer.
